Castañeda's Mexican Food

This place is ridiculously over priced! Any combination plate is almost $20! I can go to a sit down restaurant for way better food and better prices! They use to not be this expensive. Yes I understand inflation but their prices more than doubled! I will not be back.

Food is acceptable but what is not is when they have their lunch break time posted and it’s long after that time and they are all still sitting around with the drive thru still closed

The food is decent. Had an alpastor burrito and the chorizo and egg burrito, and the taquitos, they were good size and pretty good. I would have given it a 5 star, but the alpastor wasn't crispy enough. The taquitos are really good. Highly recommend

It is a typical Mexican fast food establishment. I have ordered, through Uber Eats from this establishment, several times, during the lockdowns of COVID 19. So, in 2023, while visiting my relatives in High Desert, I decided to eat inside. The meals, that I ordered, were delicious. The staff members were helpful, and attentive. At the same time, there were ample of space to sit down. However, the tables, inside were not clean. The restroom, too, was not available inside. The saving grace, of this establishment, is it working 24 hours. At the same time, the prices were not on the expensive side. So, if anyone enjoys cheap Mexican meals, I would recommend to visit this establishment. However, I do not recommend to dine-in, since the place was not clean. Of course, things might have changed, from my last visit.

Have frequented this place many times over the years and usually they make well proportioned burritos. But of lately there portions have become small and there prices have gone up. If you are going to raise the prices do not reduce the amount of food given. I do not mind paying for good food made well and fairly. Customer service about my complaint was not handled very well. Very unprofessional.

Got food poisoning with the carne asada fries late last night beware with this place it's the worst feeling. Don't feed this trash to your kids.

The prices at this place are outrageous. Over $7 for a bean and cheese burrito. You've got to be kidding. It's not that good.

Just plain there meat no season. I order burritos( Carna Asada) no onion, cilantro it’s extra fee. No sour cream or guacamole. Dry burrito for $11 smh .. I will not be returning

You would think that they would give you a fork to eat your salad with if you used the drive thru window. This isn't the reason I am checking this place off my dinner options thou. What used to cost me $16.00 is now $32.00 for 2 Taco salads. You would think that since they doubled the prices on their food that you would get more for your money. Nope!! Send like it's less good as well. Another restaurant that will probably go out of business like the others. Sad. I'll miss you guys.

THIS PLACE IS NO GOOD👎🚫Every item on the menu is over $15.00 and my plate was $22.00 out the door after taxes and to top it off they give you a SMALL cup saying they only serve medium and large . The food is not even that good. The quality is not worth the $20.00 . I've had better in actual street tacos and payed less with them then to go here and spend and arm and a leg and get back white washed food . Doesn't even taste Mexican

I am so disappointed with the restaurant. I ordered a Torta from them through the drive-thru. When I got home, I discovered that they burnt my bread. It was all black inside the bun. It tasted so horrible. Instead of just toasting a new bun, they decided to give me bread they should have thrown in the trash. I used to go to them all the time. They won't get a second time to do me like this again.

I ordered the ranchero burrito and it’s the best burrito I’ve ever devoured! The smell, the taste, it was like a shell wrapped heaven. I was skeptical about my burrito search, because I like my burritos done specifically, authentically with a kick of nostalgia.

This burrito did just that.

We've been looking for a good Mexican restaurant around the high desert that is not too pricey but has great food. Castaneda's does that for us.
They have a large menu with all of the traditional favorites. The Carne Asada and Carnitas burritos are really good and so are the nachos. The portions are a good size too. At this location, the workers are always friendly and helpful.
It is definitely a place I would recommend!!!!
