House of Joy's Chicken is pretty good. It is small chunks of chicken in a smokey marinade but you get a lot of it.

We stopped in to grab some lunch and the smell was amazing. I just knew the food was going to be top tier. I was highly disappointed. If someone has never had authentic Chinese or Japanese food then this place will be top on your list. Fortunately I've had the joy of having authentic Japanese, Chinese and Thai food and this place isn't it. We got Orange chicken and the lunch special includes rice so we opted for fried rice. What we received was orange chicken that tasted old, more like the taste of a not so good Chinese buffet and the fried rice was literally white rice with some lite soy sauce thrown on it. No flavor whatsoever. We also ordered vegetable egg rolls that had no flavor until using sweet and sour sauce that was the texture of gelatin. We will continue our drive down the hill to more authentic tasting food but was hoping this would be the spot here in the desert. Customer service was really good and the food was prepared rather quickly.

Was craving some Korean style Chinese food! The food was good! The veggies mix was so delicious!! The sauce was perfect!! The Jjang Bbong was okay! It wasn't spicy as it should be and the soup based was too bland. The JJa JJang myun was okay too. Did the cooking chef change? Was my first thing that came to my mind when trying my first bite/taste of the both noodles. This place is huge, very spacious. It was quiet when we went, there was only one waitress, might be the owner. She was friendly and nice. I was little disappointed in the noodles though the veggie mix was too good, it made up.

We have ordered delivered food many times. House of Joy does it themselves... They are so fast and to go with that is extremely good food. For the high desert they provide excellent Chinese food options.

It came last night for my birthday, 3 - 4 - 2024 and I was so greatly disappointed by the food. The place was empty and it was pretty obvious why once the food came, because the food was horrible. Not only that, but we tried ordering something to share and had to pay double because it wasn't explained to us correctly.. I didn't want to make a big deal asking for a discount or anything because we were overcharged and because our food was inedible, but I know we will never go there again. 10 years ago this place was fantastic, but now I can see that it has severely gone downhill. I'm incredibly upset, and I will never get that birthday dinner back. Does server was nice, but I wish she would have explained to us better that we were going to be charged double for what we were ordering because it was very obvious that we just wanted something to share. I do not recommend going to this place.

Our food arrived very quickly and was the right temperature. The portion sizes were huge! I probably took home another two servings. Our waitress was very nice but didn't clear our table when we were finished eating which is a pet peeve of mine.We had a party of 11 people, but the food arrived promptly & hot. The portions are so huge! I haven't tried their sushi yet.We went back tonight & I finally had my sushi ? I ordered the 911 roll which is quite spicy but delicious. I also had a salmon skin roll which tasted to me more like a tuna roll. Whatever it was it was yummy. We again had a large party of 13 but the service was fantastic ? The only problem was the food came out sporadically so some people had to wait to get their food. The picture is the birthday cake ? for 3 different people including me. I recommend House of Joy!Parking: There's plenty of parking but only one handicapped space that is not well marked.

Boo for this place! We have driven by this place multiple times and have been really curious. They got good reviews so we had our hopes up. D'oh!The egg drop soup was really good, but it went all down hill from there. The chicken chow mein was bland and so scant on chicken it should have just been chow mein. It was in the spirit of "chicken flavor" Cup Noodles. Would it have killed them to throw in a little MSG?!?The sweet & sour pork was Terrible! All gristle on a plate overflowing with sweet & sour sauce. There abundance of sauce couldn't hide the leather like qualities of the the pieces that did have meat. Couldn't make it through 3 pieces. The service was good and the place was clean. One of the most disappointing parts of the night is that we passed Panda Express on the way there.
