I went there many years ago (2010 or 2011?), but it was wonderful and I would love to go again. Lovely place and charming people.

The vineyard's rich history, traced back to the 12th century, adds intrigue to the visit. In addition to the exquisite wines, New Clairvaux Vineyard offers a super flexible wine club with free tastings for members and a friend. Priced at just $10 per tasting, this California gem produces delicious, organic wines harvested and blessed by the monks.
The winery has a tasting room, an event room, and a spiritual retreat. Monks help pick the grapes, and Aimee is the head winemaker. New Clairvaux Vineyard won Winery of the Year in the California competition in 2024. Visitors can enjoy an entertaining tour with the engaging Brother Luis Cortez, learn about the abbey and vineyards' prominent place in US history, and stroll the well-kept grounds, visiting the monastic buildings and gift shop.
