Good wine at a fair price.
This is such a wonderful place. Full of calmness and history. The wines are extraordinary and very reasonably priced.
An unexpectedly amazing time in an out-of-the-way winery. We went with low expectations, but the bar has now been set so high - beyond reach. Thank you, Matt (et al), for the history and wine education. Most especially to the brothers for all you do. The winery is wonderful, but the church is also spectacular. Don't miss any of it! Take your time and drink it all in.
Their wines get better and better! Congratulations on California Winery of the Year!!
We just opened a bottle of the Moschofilero 2023. Absolutely delicious! We love all the wines that come from this winery!
Great wine, and wonderful people there.
Fun tasting party.
Our Friday excursion led us to the picturesque setting of New Clairvaux Vineyard, where we embarked on a delightful journey of wine tasting. This vineyard is nestled amidst serene surroundings and offers an enchanting escape for wine enthusiasts seeking excellence.Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by the hospitable staff, whose passion for wine was evident in their informative and welcoming demeanor. Their knowledge added depth to our tasting experience, enhancing our appreciation for our sampled wines.New Clairvaux Vineyard boasts a diverse selection of reds and whites, catering to various palates. As someone who typically leans towards red wines, I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional quality of their white wines. I was so impressed that I ended up purchasing two bottles to enjoy later.Beyond the exquisite wines, the New Clairvaux Vineyard has a rich history that adds a layer of intrigue to the tasting experience. Founded on the grounds of a historic monastery, the vineyard's roots trace back to the 12th century, when the monks first began cultivating grapes in this sacred setting. Today, that legacy lives on as the vineyard continues producing unparalleled wines steeped in tradition and craftsmanship. Our visit to New Clairvaux Vineyard left a lasting impression, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to fellow wine enthusiasts. Whether you're a seasoned connoisseur or a novice explorer, this vineyard offers an unforgettable experience that celebrates the timeless artistry of winemaking. We eagerly anticipate our next visit, eager to indulge in the treasures that await at New Clairvaux Vineyard.
Nice surprise, vertical wine tasting. Syrah 2017 - 2021.
This winery and monastery is such a gem! No need to drive Napa, this wine is great and the tasting is only $10! We walked with 3 extra bottles and look forward to returning in the near future.

First, the place is a part of California history and have great little exhibits. Second, the winery has a wine club that is super flexible and provides you and a friend with free tastings (typically 5 pours), finally and most importantly, the wine is delicious, organic, and the grapes have been blessed and harvested by the monks who live there!
Wine tasting and self-guided toor.
This was our first time here. Beautiful place! We liked it so much we became wine club members. All of the wines were delicious and very reasonably priced.
Top notch wines, orchards, vineyards, and a beautiful church with history. In fact the entire property has a history worth learning about. Great place to stop on your way north or south through California.
July 26 was our first visit to New Clairvaux Winery. It popped up on my phone while we were visiting Lassen Park, and we were delighted to see it was on our way home. We were intrigued to see a California winery producing Assyrtiko and Moschofilero, which we have very much enjoyed from Santorini and Greece, respectively. We were also very interested in the affiliation with Nichelini Winery, whose Primitivo we have very much enjoyed. We had a lovely tasting experience at New Clairvaux. We purchased a mixed case of five different varietals. When we left the tasting room we felt we had full 5-star experience. When we got home to Napa and unloaded our case of wine, we were very disappointed to find our Assyrtiko had been substituted with a Vina Ranch White Table Wine, none of which we had purchased in our mixed case. I immediately called our host to rectify the error. She stated we could come back to make the exchange. I told her that was not practical since we are 2.5 hours from the winery and asked if she would ship it to me. She agreed she would ship it to me, took all my shipping information and stated back to me that she would be shipping me one bottle of St. James Block 2022 Assyrtiko. That was a week ago, and I have yet to receive the wine or a notification of shipment. This appears to have been a customer service missed opportunity by New Clairvaux to correct an error.I am still holding out hope that my Assyrtiko wine, which was my primary reason for visiting New Clairvaux, is still on its way to Napa. If/when it arrives, I will update my review.REVIEW UPDATE: New Clairvaux contacted me yesterday morning after I posted my review to finalize details on overnight shipping me a bottle of Assyrtiko, which I received this afternoon. I am updating my review from two to four stars and applaud New Clairvaux for their responsiveness in addressing the error.
