We had a great intimate tasting experience with Jeff! The wines were wonderful and we felt so welcome and comfortable. The estate was beautiful!
I have bought wine from Meikle Family Vineyards for several years. Everyone of my friends and family love their wines. I have gotten 100% positive feedback with most claiming MFV has the best wine on the market. I will keep coming back.
The Meikle's seems like a great family. Just bought 2 bottles from their past releases of the Barbera. Still being shipped so haven't tried them yet. I will update in this review.
Wines are winners
MFV wines are incredible. I love the Barbera and The Cab. Their new Chardonnay is absolutely lovely and unlike any other California Chard I have had. I am happy to have signed up when I did for the wine club. I’m looking forward to the new tasting space they are opening on site. It will be gorgeous with a ton of space for events and guests.
Found this little gem of a winery in Amador County by accident and I am so glad I did. Coming from a small boutique style family winery myself, I was mesmerized by their varietals. First, the foothills in Amador are known for big Old Vine Zins and definitely the famous Barbera varietal, which MFV winery proves to be at the top of the crush with their fantastic flavor presence. What really sold me on this fabulous winery was the Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay the young winemaker has concocted. Hailing from the Sonoma/Napa region, I am very skeptical of non coastal Cabs/Chards and boy was I not only surprised, I was floored! The rich in flavor yet palatable smoothness of the estate Cab “Jane” was like a moonlight walk with no shadows, Every taste bud just hitting on all the right cylinders. There is no other Cab in the foothills that can even compare. With all that being said, my same feelings go towards their Chardonnay. Not too fruity, not too buttery, just the right blend, and an absolute treat for any occasion. MFV Winery packs a huge punch and we will definitely see big things in the future from this up and coming family winery.
Exceptional Barbera. Unique location with a well run family winery. Received a bottle from a friend of a friend and had to track down the maker. Discovered this boutique maker and have come to enjoy the wine, vineyard, and the wine makers. Jamison and Jeff have truly worked magic into their grapes.
Beautiful location, great wines. Tully is a very good wine representative and knowledgeable too.
