Beautiful courtyard for meals, slow service, pretty good meals. Their mixed drinks are delicious but if you have a table you may need to go to the bar every time you want a drink. Their food is pretty good. Nothing to write home about but better than most in the area
Best Burger had in a long time and man those fries are to die for!!!! The aviance is cozy and the service impeccable. Drove over an hour to just have lunch and was worth every minute. Pet friendly if eating outside on the patio.
This review is specific to my experience at the pub. The food is spectacular but that doesn’t tell the whole story. For breakfast we were met by our server whose name is Eric. He was just a humble, kind, servant. In conversation with him we came to find out that Eric was not only our server but also the chef who runs the kitchen and the wait staff. We were blown away. The food was soooo good.
While dining there I noticed pictures of him with the kitchen and wait staff. I could tell this was a tight-knit team. While having dinner there it was busy and I saw him interact with the wait-staff in a positive way. I could tell that he respects and likes his team and they feel the same about him.
It all made for a super-positive vibe!
This is unusual in the hospitality and restaurant world.
At dinner Chef Eric asked us if we would be staying for breakfast the following morning. We told him we couldn’t stay as we had to get to work early. That night he prepared a delicious frittata, and added a scone and granola/parfait for my wife and I and had it in the hotel fridge that we could grab and go in the morning. He went way above and beyond. I will never forget his humility, kindness and true hospitality.
Very quiet with amazing food. The breakfast was delicious! Staff are very friendly.
My husband and I stayed here a night on our way back home on our anniversary trip. We were greeted and welcomed in late after a long day on the road. This place in and of itself is charming. But the staff here is what makes it thrive. When we came down for breakfast (included with reservation), Chef Erik welcomed and served us our meal. The food was amazing! We hung out a bit and had mimosas on the patio area. This place is so loved, there is a lot of history here. We enjoyed getting to know it in the short time we were there, and look forward to coming back. Also, the day after we left, we got a call from the friendly lady in the office (wish I remembered her name) saying they found my ring in the room after we’d left. I thought I’d lost it! So they’re sending it to us. We’re so very grateful to everyone at the Inn and look forward to another visit.
Wonderful perfume visit without crocs, it's a bit chilly in August. Body boarding is excellent... not up here though.
We stopped in the restaurant for a meal.
Service is excellent as usual staff is always warm and friendly. I enjoyed every meal that I've had there. Great drinks and great desserts.
3.5 Stars if I could. We just went for dinner and it was ok. The burgers and fries were good. My fiance really enjoyed the Ole Abe Burger. Their fries are really crispy and pair well with their house made ranch. We got a Blueberry Blush and a Huckleberry Potion to drink. The Blueberry Blush was a let down, tasted no blueberries, just rosemary and earth. The Huckleberry Potion was pretty good, the tajin rim is confusing but the drink is refreshing. For dessert we got the Bundt cake and the Basque Cake. The Bundt cake was alright, nothing special. The Basque Cake was good with the Horchata ice cream and crumble it came with. Overall maybe we'll come back again some day, but there's many other places to try in this area.
We didn't stay there but had an incredible lunch there. It was a cool little town
Ate at restaurant only. Food. Was delicious. We were expecting a leisurely dinner. Course delivery was too fast. Dinner was brought before our appetizers were finished. We were out in 45 minutes. It was our only criticism.

We ate at the restaurant and it is a 5 star experience. I would expect a restaurant of this caliber in NY or Chicago, but here it is in Volcano!! If you are in Pioneer on your way to skiing, make it a point to eat at this place. We had the steak, the Mac n cheese, the fried chicken, and gnocchi. It was all delicious and the service was excellent. Okay, now, I'm gushing, but it's worth the trip.
Once again Chef Eric and his team absolutely slayed it tonight. We had a group of 5. Long distance friends catching up. Not only did they move our table to a better location for small talk after a request but accommodated us in every way . The food was absolutely to die for. The staff were attentive and answered all questions! The wine and craft beers weres also amazing! Highly recommend! Can’t wait to stay the night in this historic location!!! 10/10 and the locals are so friendly! ❤️
Yummy place in a cute little town. Stopped here for a snack before we hit the caverns. The burger was cooked to perfection & beer was ice cold! Loved it here.
We came by after visiting the cavern not too far from here, we had lunch and it was delicious! Hopefully when we visit again we'll explore more of the town to give a better detailed review but I can promise to anyone reading this the food at the Union Pub + Inn is so worth it!
Everything on the lunch and dinner menu is excellent. I been here 4 times having 5 different meals, lunch and dinner and have never been disappointed. With all that said, a while back there was a change made to the breakfast side of things as they only serve breakfast to those who spend the night at the Inn. Since this change has happened the breakfast selections have changed from Egg Fritta or Avocado Toast to Breakfast Burrito or Crepes. What a difference. The old selections were five star where the new selections a slightly 3 stars, and that's generous. Not sure what happened but very disappointed in the new breakfast menu. I will return for lunch and dinner but will rethink returning for an overnight stay with such a poor breakfast.
