Love it here! The character is what defines this place. Hit food is always served.

Fun place to eat and drink.

I love the location and the historic ness of the building. It’s in need of repairs but the people are friendly & prices not too high. We just had drinks & sat outside enjoying the beautiful River & mountains. The grounds are uniquely landscaped and there’s nice rock stairs down almost to the waters edge. I can’t review the food or rooms. I’d probably stay overnight or longer if they allowed dogs.

We love the Washington Hotel! So rich with history, and just the right amount of quirky. Catch some music by the river on the back porch - it's heaven!

My wife and I went there today (first time) for a beer and lunch. We loved the food and atmosphere. We will be back!

The owners are extremely friendly. It’s a beautiful old hotel and restaurant that sits along the river. It’s a walk back into history. Great way to spend the weekend and there is usually always something going on during the weekends and holidays.

Absolutely love this place. It reminds me of old gold rush town from 1888 but it's 2024... Love the small town vibe,. Where every one knows everyone and it's just gorgeous there the river Is amazingWalkability: Everything you wanna do there is within walking distance

Food was mediocre. It tasted fine, not something to write home about. It saved us when we didn't feel like cooking at our camp site.Just keep in mind, this is small town restaurants so don't expect fast service. Walk in and take out only, nothing is in a rush so be there to wait.Bar is next door and great friendly service. Cash only, there is a ATM in the front of the hotel.

EXTREMELY disappointed in this property. If I could give zero or negative stars, I would. I booked it for my daughter who was going to be in the area for a wedding. The bride was traveling from Virginia to have her wedding in the area so her Mother could attend. Unfortunately, the bride's mother passed away unexpectedly and the wedding was cancelled. I called the hotel and was told that they have a TWO week cancellation policy but that I could email the owners to see if they would make an exception. I emailed the owners AND THEY NEVER RESPONDED and it's been more than a month. Yes, I was disappointed in the cancellation policy however, death is never convenient. What I am most disappointed in is that I NEVER RECEIVED A RESPONSE which is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE. I will NEVER stay here nor will I recommend it.

Noteworthy details: Like stepping back in time to the California gold rush. Hotel has a back deck that overlooks the south Yuba river. Just beautiful.Food was good and a full bar makes a great meal for the family as a break from camping and mosquitoes.A couple of local drunks were a little loud and had some explicit language but the bartender managed them before we could say anything and they minded her like scared little children. The hotel also boasts a very large free library for children’s books and toys.

The place was okay. The patio outside in the back gave us a nice view of the Yuba River. We had our lunch out there. I was with three other people who ordered sandwiches and I had the Chicken Strips. When the Strips were brought out, they looked burnt. No complaints except for me, but then it's kind of hard to ruin a sandwiche.
