I really want to like 5 mile and want to support a local, independent restaaurant. We have ordered from them multiple times and as much as we like some things on the menu (vegan tacos) there are always multiple items that ate wrongly prepared or just plain bad. Tonight was the last time we will order from them. The taco salads were just bad, without half of the promised ingredients (corn, fajita peppers etc) and a small amount of wilted lettuce. It was quite bad. Nachos came out without most of the cheese melted and the remainder of the dish ice cold. Maybe the third or fourth management/restaurant iteration will be better, but I don't think we will be returning.

I've been coming to 5 Mile Buzz House frequently for the past 3 years that I've lived in the area. 5 Mile was my favorite spot. They had great food, great drinks, and great vibes. However recently I went to 5 Mile and everything changed. The Bumblebee Margarita I had didn't even taste like a Margarita. The beer was mixed in, instead of sticking out of it and slowly draining in. The whole thing tasted like a gross honey/salt combination. I also got a pastor super burrito and was very disappointed. Unlike before, this burrito lacked flavor and convenience, as it was cut in half diagonally making it hard to keep the ingredients inside. I'm not sure why they would cut a burrito like a sandwich but it's not for me. Also the meat was far inferior to before. I spoke with one of the employees and they told me that 5 Mile had a new owner. This explained all of my disappointment. They said they were planning on changing up the menu even more and adding a bunch of items on. They said that the plan was to make it like a sports bar and it would be open late. Basically taking everything that I loved about it's previous authenticity and ruining it. I'll be trying again in a couple months to see if it has improved, however I fear I will need to find a new spot... Update: next day. I think the burrito messed up my stomach.

I took my girlfriend there for brunch and told the waitress it was her birthday and she did nothing to make it special the food was not great either. I had to walk up and ask for my bill, service was terrible.

Order bacon wrapped shrimp and chicken tacos. The chicken tacos were good The shrimp was not cleaned. P*** still inside!! If you're going to serve shrimp clean them or pay the extra money for the cleaned deveined shrimp. Waited 35 plus minutes for them and the bacon still wasn't cook. Another women was yelling at her kids on the phone as I walked in. I order food another time paid online and showed up to a closed restaurant. Never received a refund.

Tried this place for the first time yesterday, and I'll definitely be returning! Our server/bartender Jessica was attentive and charismatic. The food came out promptly and my veggie tacos were delicious. Oh and not to mention prices are astoundingly cheap!

Delicious tacos, nachos, and fresh fruit margaritas, and the prices are very reasonable. I agree that the staffing, although friendly, is hit and miss. Be prepared to be patient for service and food. I deducted one star for the confusion about ordering alcohol. . The servers don't know what wines are carried and I have even been told that they didn't have wine. One time we could not order drinks with our food (!) and had to stand in a different line for drinks after ordering food. If we wanted a second drink, we would have had to stand in line again. When we had table service, we were never asked if we wanted a second drink. The menu does not list drinks and there seems to be no drink menu. In short, coming from someone who has worked many years in food service, this restaurant is losing a lot of money on alcohol sales!

Wanted to check the place out since it changed ownership. Saw they had quesa birria tacos on Friday 3 for 10$ and we got some mangonada drink. Hella bomb quesa birria tacos and drinks! Looking forward to come back! Yee!

I honestly was so disappointed I hope we can try this place again but first experience was terrible, we went in and no one greeted us we were so confused wondering what we should do finally a girl says hi and she asks if we are taking out or dining in we mentioned we wanted to get started with drinks and then maybe order something... she's so confused and we asked about the drinks she says she doesn't know because it's her first day but she can see what's in the bar and make something up she was very nice but very confused and unsure. She tells us to sit where we like and she's come to us with the menu, but this was such an awkward experience so we left. Don't really blame the girl but more so management, why is this new person alone who has no clue about anything.....
