five star catering deserves 10 stars !!! they were incredible to work with, walked us through every step of the process with so much thorough attention to detail and guided us when we felt clueless about certain things (which was most things lol). so many of our guests are still raving to us about how delicious the food was !!! it was also really helpful to be getting our furniture/tableware rentals through them so we only had to go through one person for all of it.
i have celiac disease, so the most important thing for us was that i could safely eat everything at our wedding and five star was the only catering company in the area we could find who was, not only able to accommodate this request, but willing to go above and beyond to make sure everything was also delicious and not just a bland GF substitute! they used the most delicious local ingredients and the tailored the menu items to our specific tastes/requests! they even ordered special GF bread from san francisco just for me and my table. also, our signature cocktails turned out SO delicious!!! we’re so thankful to laura and caitlin who took care of everything with so much efficiency and kindness and were able to reduce soooo much stress on our end by being the most professional and capable. we felt very safe in their hands and would highly recommend them to anyone considering!!!

Five Star catered my 50th birthday for ~100 people. The food was incredible. They built the most beautiful Charcuterie Board and the vegetable lasagna with artichoke hearts was out of this world. The service was fantastic and they covered every detail. I would highly recommend them!

5 Star catered our wedding at the lovely Waterfall Lodge. We can't recommend them enough. They were with us every step of the way, catered our menu perfectly (get the short ribs!), took care of our every question and need, and packed us a lovely to go plate for the evening after the reception. They also took care of our bartending and table settings! We would seriously use them again for our vow renewal. The only suggestion we could make is that we would have loved to have tried the whole menu we selected during our tasting, and not just a select few dishes. If you go with five star, you will not be disappointed!!!

I had an incredible experience working with five star catering throughout my entire wedding experience. They were so kind and responsive and definitely live up to their name. The tasting was an amazing experience and they had a beautiful set up of all different plates, glasses, silverware and napkins for us to choose from. The food was incredible as well! They worked with me on keeping to my budget while ensuring my wedding was everything I dreamed of. Their staff was amazing the day of the wedding, helping my family set up all of the dining tables and they put together a beautiful dessert table that completely matched the vibe of the wedding. The staff was so kind and I received endless compliments from all of my guests about the attentiveness and professionalism of the waiters. I was also told by multiple guests (and I agree) that it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding (and it was vegetarian!). I was so grateful they were able to pack up the left overs for me so I could enjoy it again after the wedding. We had the best possible experience working with Laura and her team at FiveStar Catering for our wedding in September 2024. From the very first call with Laura, it was clear that she loves what she does and will go above and beyond to support you throughout the wedding planning process.
Delicious food was a top priority for us. We asked a few other caterers if they would allow us to provide our own fish (a tall ask, we know) and Five Star was the only one who was not afraid of this request. My husband works in the seafood industry, so Laura had no issue with letting him deliver the halibut himself to their Watsonville warehouse the day before the wedding. In addition, the Five Star team recreated our favorite salad from a local restaurant to serve at our wedding. ABOVE AND BEYOND. Our guests were raving about the halibut with mango salsa and the tri tip with chimichurri along with the rest of the food. But it doesn't end there!
We wanted the food at our wedding to be amazing, but we were still sticking to our budget, so the majority of the wedding was DIY. We did all our own planning, flowers, decor, lighting, signage, drinks, etc. and we could not have pulled off a smooth wedding with so many DIY elements without the tremendous support of the Five Star team. Laura did not bat an eye when we told her we wanted to thrift all of our own vintage glassware and set up a huge canoe full of beer - she just figured out how to help us make it happen and how much ice we'd need. Laura advised us on everything from table layout, drink menu/quantities, and day-of schedule, and I'm not exaggerating that we would have been lost without her. We didn't have to worry about the food/bartending/rental order/service because it was all handled by Five Star.
The service on our wedding day was kind, attentive, and helpful, and our guests are still complimenting us about it! We were so excited and happy at our wedding that we barely ate, but Five Star packaged up the leftovers and we were able to enjoy them with our family the next day. The service was top notch, and everything went off without a hitch and exactly on time/ ahead of schedule. A few of our items got mixed up with the catering stuff, and Laura personally delivered them to our home after our wedding. We cannot express our gratitude enough for Five Star and how they helped us pull off the wedding of our dreams. Hire the Five Star team - you will not regret it.

We felt like we were really listened to about what we wanted our wedding experience to be for our guests and ourselves. Every part of working with Laura and Five Star was so fun. I had a wonderful day picking place settings with her to create the perfect Glam Woodsy tablescape. Then my husband and I were able to go back for a wonderful tasting where we couldn’t decide because everything tasted so incredible, so wonderful Laura just figured out how to work it into our menu! They re-created our signature cocktail that we had worked on at home for about six months to perfection and of course, made it even better. FIve Star Catering is INCREDIBLE!I am not one to leave reviews (I think this is my first ever haha... but I had to this time!I cannot sing the praises of Five Star Catering enough! From start to finish of the wedding planning process they excelled in communicating, understanding our vision, working with our budget, and making us feel so taken care of. The wedding day could not have gone more smoothly. The appetizers were gorgeous and our guests raved about them, the drinks from the bar were so creatively done and the hard huckleberry lemonade they helped us to create as one of our signature drinks was a HUGE hit with the guests! The wedding feast was absolutely delicious. My husband and I were so impressed by the presentations and especially taste of the food. IT WAS SOOOO GOOD. Five Star Catering's wedding food is not your typical "wedding food." We all felt like we went out to a five star restaurant and guests were non stop talking about how tasty all of the food was. The service staff was just wonderful. They were all so kind and professional! Every glass of wine was full, plates were cleared quickly, they switched to coffee and desserts seamlessly, they didn't miss a beat. It was wonderful. And the late night nacho bar was so darn good!! Us and our friends and family were so well taken care of all night. We did not have to worry about a thing on the night of our wedding thanks to Five Star Catering. The best service ever I’m here at the golf tournament where every year I look forward to this amazing gentleman who is the nicest person ever and I found out that he passed away and can’t believe it’s been a year already, and I’m gonna miss his smile and his kindness, and I remember being here in the golf tournament and he was the nicest guy I forgot his name, but I remember being here at the golf tournament and I just remember he was the nicest guy and my deepest condolences to everyone that knew him and I just remember he was the nicest person and he made the best omelette ever. This is the greatest bar five star catering as the best especially for cheer all year, helping the golf tournament together and the charity.

My partner and I knew we wanted the food to leave an impression and feature local, farm-to-table options. Five Star delivered on the flavor, presentation, and the entire experience. Our wedding food and reception design truly came together so beautifully and being able to coordinate rentals directly through Five Star was a major bonus. Our guests LOVED the food, even our most snobby ones ;) commented on how much they enjoyed themselves.
