Don't order the tostada de mariscos to go...no cabbage or guacamole as advertised. They used to include it, not sure what happened.

My girlfriend and I pull up to Cilantro's in Watsonville and as soon as we got out of the car, it smelt like smoke. The whole parking lot was filled with smoke from the building. It smell like burnt food outside the whole parking lot smell like burnt food. So we had to go somewhere else because we thought the food was going to be burned just like the smell outside.

1. I've eaten there many times before. The food this time was terrible. 2. We waited ONE HOUR after we were seated for someone to take our order and another 45 minutes to get our meal. There was 2 of us.

So I gave this place one more try... & here we go. New remodel, Foods OK. only thing is that they allow dogs in the main dining area! it wasn't a service dog and I just think that that's not appropriate when your having a dinner and a dog right next to your food. (Food safety)I can understand if they're outside in the patio but in the main dinner.. come on. Nothing against dogs I love dogs but they don't belong at a restaurant main dining area. I hope this gets addressed.

Love cilantro's! Best Mexican food in town. The rice and beans are just like my grandma used to make!

Been in the food industry for a while and never have I ever experienced such bad service. We were seated and immediately expected to know what we wanted and when we requested for more time to skim through the menu our waitress gave us a nasty look. Not only that but the work environment was very hostile, I overheard one of the waiters speaking Ill of not only his fellow coworkers but the customers as well. Don't know how the manager hasn't picked up on that but carrying out a business in that type of atmosphere is extremely unprofessional!

I was blessed to grow up in a culturally diverse neighborhood in Los Angeles, CA. I have eaten a lot of great food at restaurants and homes of friends. The food is here beyond amazing. I had enchiladas and carne asada tacos. So good! I followed it up with flan, and the flan is made here, and it tasted like my buddies Abuelita made it. I wish I didn't live so far from here!

Great evening! Thanks so much to the staff at Cilantro's for a super evening for a big group of 20 of us Last night! Our servers did a fantastic job in providing everything we needed, and the kitchen staff made great dinners! Brilliant job!

Food still great but service has been poor recently. Last time we came, we had to wait for a seat and we were forgotten about. I think she forgot to actually put us on the list. It wasn't until someone from the BAR noticed we had been waiting so long that he raised the red flag. Recently I found it really annoying that while we waited a long time to eat, we were then rushed to finish. I came here specifically to relax, not to be asked if you can take my half finished plate 5 times. Please stop with that. Then when the check came, the waitress had the audacity and entitlement to circle the suggested tip amount. Are you kidding me!? I know what the suggested tip is, I don't need you to beg for it.

I've been coming to Cilantros for years and they haven't disappointed me yet. My to go to meal is the chicken tortilla soup the broth is very flavorful, the jalapeños give it a kick and of course it's never lacking chicken. I highly recommend cilantros for your special occasion or just for a quick lunch.

This place used to be really good! Not sure what happened these past 2/3 years but the food it's not the same it's lacking flavor even the carne asada. the rice is really dry they no longer put cheese on top of the refried beans and we actually have gone a few more times because friends want to go and still the same lacking flavor. :/

Best genuine and authentic Mexican in our area. I cannot overemphasize how good it is. Chips and salsa and chile verde are true classics. Sopes are delicious. The best part is the owner of the restaurant owns his own mezcal factory in Jalisco and his personal mezcals are at the bar available for tastings. I love coming here and always have a good time.

Bad service. I worked in the food industry for over 11 years and managed thousands of people. That being said; my and my family's experience was not a good one. 1. Weird rules: No outside cake allowed but no birthday cake, ice cream or even a happy birthday song sang by the crew. $12 to bring your own cake or you choose to buy from their flavorless selections. Brings me to item #2 2. Food was incorrect, dry (over cooked) & flavorless & to top it off, pork was extremely stinky. I as a trained chef have learned to manage & uphold extremely high standards for food quality & service. This team was doing great as far as the waitress serving our drinks. The cook(s) failed horribly to meet the minimum expectation for recipe standard and food quality. Probably the worst bowl of pozole I've had in my whole life. I can level with a bad dish and acknowledge when there are a few good things about the dish, but this time...there was NOTHING good about the eating experience. I did complain about the quality and asked the server to remove this, which she did. 3. Returned food was charged on order plus pre-added gratuity fee. When something Is bad in the food industry, you must ask questions, identify why it was bad and how it can be better. Neither was done. In my case, I was asked to order something else which I refused. When we paid the bill, the pozole was still on there & the extra "tip" was pre added by the establishment. All in all, bad experience.
