Excellent service, delicious and freshly prepared food and good value. We are planning to return!
Fresh and delicious!
I stopped by La Buena Taqueria and was not disappointed! I got the al pastor torta, and it was absolutely delicious—perfectly seasoned meat, fresh toppings, and just the right amount of crunch from the bread. The service was great, and the chips and salsa are a must—fresh, flavorful, and addictive!
I knew this place was going to be good as soon as I walked in and heard Maná playing. 🎶 Next time, I’ll definitely be trying the tacos!
If you’re looking for authentic and delicious Mexican food, this spot is a winner. 🌮🔥
This place is a hidden gem, and is definitely worth your business.
I visited this wonderful little taqueria late one evening, needing a quick and warm dinner. I walked in about 20 minutes before closing and was greeted warmly.
I ended up ordering a simple bean and cheese burrito, and noticed they had agua fresca options available, but asked if they were homemade. The evening I visited, they had horchata, jamaica, tamarindo and pina frescas, and all looked amazing. I ended up ordering the horchata and was so impressed at how delicious it was.
The Bean and Cheese burrito was a perfect size. The tortilla was gently grilled, but still pliable, the beans were a perfect mix of mashed & whole pintos, beautifully seasoned and the cheese was enough to have perfect sections of melted and unmelted cheese (the literal PERFECT balance in this burrito).
I opted to try both their red and green salsa, and both were absolutely fantastic. Please note, both their salsa's are hot, but both were rich in flavor and depth, not JUST spicy. The green salsa was my favorite, but it is worthwhile getting both.
One typically minor piece, is that they give you a free little bag of their chips with any order over a certain amount - maybe $6.50? SERIOUSLY. GET THE CHIPS. They are HOMEMADE and seasoned MAGICALLY. THESE ARE ABSOLUTELY WORTH getting - unlike most other Mexican spots (certainly in the area...).
Although I don't live in this area, I 1000% would come here again to try more of their menu. With all the local Mexican options in the area, this is a one-off that deserves your business that will treat you like family when you walk in.
Love this place. Never disappoints
Good place for typical Mexican style tacos

The chicken taco is excellent and a great value at $2.77. The salsa is just the right amount of kick. You can always make it hotter! The vegetarian taco is fresh and tasty at $2.10. A small fountain drink is $1.78, which will bring you to the $6.50 you need for the free chips. Horchata, Jamaica, Tamarindo and Pina for $2 small. Small seating area, but ample outdoor seating. Nearby Michuacan ice cream for dessert! I'll be back.

Fast, affordable, authentic, and yummy tacos. Perfect for a cheap, light meal, or a quick snack. Each taco is about the size of a baseball, so, after 2-3, you don't leave with a "Ugh, I think I ate too much" feeling. Would happily go there again if back in the area. Highly recommend.

This is real Mexican food. Inexpensive, lots of meat options, juicy meat. Spent 4 years on the east coast so I’m pretty sure these are the best tacos I’ve had in years… a whole stack for less than $10. Staff are also very nice. ? Recommend.

Smallest torta i’ve ever had for ten bucks felt like a rip off left as hungry as I walked in. There are better places for your money. They also charge more for asada which they call a “special meat” but it’s a taqueria which is the most basic meat in all mexican food it makes no sense. This has to be the only mexican food place in watsonville that does that.
