Buen provecho! Just like grandma's house. Food was authentic and delicious. Homemade tortillas, quality meat, and great flavors. Salsa, rice, beans, sopa, caldo de res (beef and veg soup), tacos, enchiladas, all on point! The owner served us and was very sweet. Please support this family business. If you are in a hurry, call ahead.Kid-friendliness: The owner brought out extra sopa (soup) and little cookies for the kids. Hugh chaors and boosters available.

Very nice and inexpensive Mexican food in a family run small restaurant. Menu is smallish but wow are things good. We had chile rellenos which were delicious and quite light - maybe our favorite ever.Opps, forgot to include the tortillas are amazing and by themselves worth the trip.

This place is amazing, it's got a good vibe, the food is delicious, and it's at a reasonable price. If you happen to be looking for authentic home made Mexican dishes, La Fondita is where you need to be.

The Best Mexican restaurant that serves home cooked style meals! Absolutely the best, if you want to know how real Mexicans eat then come here and have a meal it's the best. Try everything from Chiles rellenos to enchiladas, and sopes, can't forget to try the "caldito de pollo" or "caldito de res", family owned and run, Eva the wife is the nicest person you will ever have serv you. I always go and have a real Mexican meal when I crave one!

Very sweet vibes. I've never felt more welcome in a new space. Great proportions with a super low price.

Quite the trip down memory lane. Stopped here with my daughter today, and probably had the best experience I've ever had in any restaurant. Let's start off with the basics; restaurant was cleaned and has a simple mom and pop layout. Menu is at eye level and menus had pictures to help order. I went with my usual lunch from when I lived in Watsonville. Shrimp empanadas with rice and beans. To be honest, check it out for yourselves. Totally worth the trip here.

Doesn't look like much when walking past it. But it's truly one of last Watsonville's good home style cooking Mexican restaurants. Handmade tortillas, fresh delicious food. I definitely recommend the Charola Loca for a taste of the best they have to offer. Not to mention the owners are also very nice and genuine people.

They're listed as being open til 8pm and were closed at 6pm today, bummed but the food and reviews sounded great
