The tacos are a great deal on taco Tuesdays. Tacos 4/5, tortillas 4/5, and Salsa gets a 4.5/5. Overall the salsa lifts the food, and I would recommend this location.

My review based on the quality of the birria on three occasions: the first - good, the second - just ok; and the third visit - not the charm. Instead it was strike 3, you're out! Too many pieces of untrimmed fat and cartilage among the one pound order of meat disqualified future visits.

I've had Queso Birria Tacos from various places, and they all do not compare to one place in San Jose. I read a lot of reviews on here how people say this place is on their Queso Birria Tacos. Just no, they are soggy. You taste a lot of the fat in the meat. The cheese itself feels soggy and drowned with the overwhelming taste of the fat of the meat itself. The broth itself is at best, ehh, but needs more flavor. I read a review from another person that their husband drank the broth like it was soup, ‍. Maybe they are smokers and can't taste food properly. They offer the 4 Queso Birria Tacos on certain days of the week for 13 plus taxes and broth included, but on the weekends it's almost 4 bucks each and the broth is well over 3 bucks for a small one. Essentially, you're paying around 20 with tax plus a drink if you decide to get one so now your more into 22 to 24 dollars for 4 Queso Birria Tacos that you can literally eat in 2 bites if you wanted too, plus a drink if you do get one, over priced in my opinion. I had to squeeze a lot of lemon juice in the broth to get a better taste and added a bit of salt as well. I also needed to squeeze lemon juice all over the tacos to overcome the flavor of fat. I then had to dip them in the salsas they gave with the order to get a decent flavor. The green salsa is the only thing I actually liked and rate that 7 out of 10. This place has the potential to do much better. Let's hope they do.

Was walking by and decided to give it a try. Luckily came in on a Tuesday and it's Taco Tuesday! Like the other reviewer mentioned the strange thing is that they don't have a menu with prices. For reference as of 1/30/24 a super burrito is $12.50

You know how people say " don't judge a book by its cover?" Well... you'll need to get passed the first few chapters here and I promise you it gets better... The book cover: The front of the store is fairly unassuming. The A-frame sign on the road says they close at 9 PM. The sign on the door says they close at 7 PM. No one really knows. Chapter 1: We walked in, and the place smells like freshly painted paint, or some sort of chemical... we are pretty much the only ones here in such a large space. Okay... Chapter 2: We walk up to the "order here" sign and are looking for a menu. There is a small sign posted up against the glass window advertising 4 tacos dorados de birria + consomé for $13 Tuesday - Friday. There are no other prices anywhere else inside besides three drink cups with prices on them. Looks like the options are soda, Horchata, or Jamaica. Chapter 3: We ask if there is a menu anywhere with prices... there isn't one. There's a vinyl banner posted above the cooktops with some generic food groups like "menudo, tacos, sopes, quesadillas, fries, etc..." At this point, I'm a bit frustrated as to what I'm able to order (what types of tacos, burritos, etc...) but I figured that anyone can make a chicken burrito and I also came here for Birria and that's in the name of this establishment, so it will be pretty safe for me to ask for it here. Chapter 4: I order a chicken burrito, three Birria tacos, plus a medium Horchata. Total after tax comes to $27.27. Not bad. It's on par with the other taqueria's in the area. Chapter 5: While waiting for the food to be prepared, I ask if they have chips and salsa. They don't but they were willing to fry some up for just a buck more. I won't say no to that! Chapter 6: The food arrives and it looks delicious. The freshly made chips were piping hot and I really appreciated the grilled onions and jalapeños on the side of each of our entrées. The chicken burrito was exactly as you'd expect and hope for. Freshly made tortilla, a good amount of meat, and perfectly melted cheese with flavorful rice, and beans. The star of the show here really is the birria. The meat melts in your mouth and the tortillas were fried just enough to hold everything together. This is some of the best birria I've had in a while. It's no frills but it's authentic and hits the spot. Chapter 7: If you need to use the restroom, beware. The sink in front of the men's restroom is barely functioning, the urinal is completely out of order, and the single toilet inside the stall isn't very clean and the entire restroom smells fairly putrid. I'd hold it. Conclusion: This is probably a spot that you'd want to take your food to go. If you've ever wondered how it would feel to order at a restaurant that more or less feels like a food truck, but has an inside dining area, this is it. The space isn't being utilized well at all, and it's not really being kept up either. Time will tell how my stomach feels later, I hope I won't be paying the consequences. So, why does this place still get 3 stars? Because the food was so good and the service itself was friendly. I'm actually conflicted in bumping this place up to at least four stars, and probably would have if they had at least had prices on their menu items and a full list of what they're able to prepare. If this place was kept up a little bit more (mop the floors, fix the issues in the bathroom, find a way to get rid of that chemical smell) then this would be 5 starts for sure. It's a shame. With us being the only ones here on a Saturday afternoon, I'm not sure if this place can survive much longer.

Great food, kids enjoyed it. Pollo tacos were a hit and the asada burrito was good though not huge. Excited to come back some time.

The menu didn't look super appealing, but given the high reviews, I looked at the pics of the food others had posted and it looked worth trying. I'm glad I did, the crispy tacos were tasty, I ordered 2 chorizo, 2 carne asada, 2 al pastor and 4 birria as well as a super chicken burrito, and a super carne asada burrito anticipating I might have to share with my family. All of them were delicious! Dipping the tacos in the consome was so good and the burritos were massive. Definitely look forward to going back next time I'm in Watsonville.

This was a great stop for lunch coming back for apple picking on Sunday. Me and my partner got four tacos: the lengua, tripa, pastor, asada. Both of us LOVED the asada, he said it was the best he's had (as a SoCal boy). These were super flavorful tacos, and they had salsas given in squeeze bottles. We also had the jamaica agua fresca which was good. They have a handful of tables and we managed to fit all 11 of us pretty easily. They were also very patient when communicating about allergies.

No coman aqui, la comida no es fresca. "Food" was obviously old in my burrito! they tried masking it with onion and cilantro. My stomach felt nasty afterwards. "Service" is so slow. Atmosphere looks abandoned. Trust me. The only good thing was they fried my tortilla chips fresh but to wait 25 minutes on a burrito is insane not to mention I was the only customer. Spend your money else where. I already took the risk for you
