Although these dogs are not the highest quality for the price they do taste good covered in chili.

I ordered a hot dog and behind me was a homeless man. The cashier that was there was telling him to leave. I asked the homeless man if he was hungry and he said yes. I told the gentleman that was making my hotdog if I can get a second one and he instantly said no, I asked why and he kept shaking his head. I said what’s wrong with me ordering a second hot dog for this homeless man? The cashier said because he always screams and makes a scene. I respectfully told him that’s no reason to refuse to make me a second hot dog, I can do whatever I want with it as long as I pay for it and he still said no. I gave him his hot dog back and said here I don’t want it anymore. Very rude!

Really affordable and super quick! There is very few choices on the menu and that’s a good thing order your hotdog and go. The dogs are really tasty and so the chili spend less than five bucks for a meal can’t find that many places.

Vegetarian options: Not many options for vegetarians

I have to say I have been going to Taylor's since I was a little girl my parents would take me there. I am now 64 years old I'm glad they're still going strong. And now my children are able to go there and enjoy the great Chili dogs.

Cool looking old building. But I don't know why this is so well regarded. I got a chili dog but it was not at all good. Tasted like the basic $2/pack hot dogs you get at at Walmart. And the chili was not that good either.

Maybe it's the "ball park hot dog" phenomena. People are taken in by the quint old building and give the foot extra points.

Since atmosphere is a rating factor... I will mention a lot of sketchy looking people hanging out in the park across the street, but the weren't bothering anyone at the time.

Prices were fairly cheap, but I would not go back. Not at all recommended, not sure why most people seem to like this place.

I grew up eating these hot dogs in the 70's and 80's and they were DELICIOUS! I moved away and came to visit last year and they're definitely not the same. I know this location has new owners. But they should have kept the original chili recipe the same like the Taylor Bros (Ma) made it. The chili tastes like Mole sauce now, YUCK! I won't be going back to this location in Watsonville when visiting. I may try their first location in Visalia hoping the chili recipe is still the same as the Taylor Bros (Ma) made it.

Best deal in town! I usually get three with and a medium soda, then enjoy them in the parking lot. It's rare I make it back home before indulging.

Simplicity best describes this chili dog experience. This place is old school, there's no condiments available at the counter. I was intrigued that this place is so popular because it's either a hot dog 1.80$ or chili dog with mustard, relish, chopped onions and of course chili, no beans. I ordered 4 chili dogs and I was hungry, they were 3 bite affairs
Those 3 big bites confirmed every thing people say about this place. PERFECT CHILI DOG. Could it use some cheese? Sure, I brought my own catsup and every bite was hot snappy dog, crunchy onions and relish, mustard adds tang but the star is the chili. It's thin and runny small chunks of meat and Damm does it taste great
Not spicy either
This is a situation where the final product for 2.10$ is so much more than the sum of its parts .
I admit I have been on a hot dog kick lately but this place just convinced me you don't need a giant hot dog with crazy amounts of toppings to get a amazing hot dog experience and it doesn't need to cost 10$. Next time I will get 8 instead of 4 because they are that good ?

Kid-friendliness: Hot dogs are the perfect size for children, and cheap good eats ?.

Taylor dogs have been a favorite of mine since I worked at Seagate's motor division in Watsonville some thirty odd years ago. Some things just don't change. I still love this place!

Parking: Parking is immediately adjacent to the hot dog stand. I estimate 25-30 spaces.

Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor, no steps or curbs.
