Great place to spend the day and relax. Visited in July and the river was only about 2 feet deep. 4WD is recommended to drive down the hill onto the gravel bar

I am so disgusted with the free Tri City throw away papers tossed in the street and gutters. Herrick is littered with them today. It’s supposed to rain heavily tonight and I’m sure all of those plastic bag covered papers will wash into the storm drains. I have repeatedly called Times Standard with no solution.

A beautiful, Serene little spot off of the South fork of the eel river just outside of Weott. Nice swimmig hole in the right time of the season, gravel bar, Wild life. Several years ago this was the spot where one of WCSD's transmission lines that delivers water to their treatment facility. They same year they began a horizontal directional drill in order to put a new section of pipe beneath the river. Fun time!!
