This was my first and last time buying from this place. I ordered 7 takeout burritos for a construction crew working at my house. I didn’t try the food, but the crew said it was “okay”. My review is mainly for the customer service, which was terrible. It holds more weight for me than anything else. The young man working at the register was extremely rude. While I waited my turn to order in line, I heard him speak Spanish with the kitchen crew. When it was my turn and he spoke to me, I noticed his English was very broken, so I proceeded to speak to him in Spanish. He kept replying back to me in English, which is totally fine. I just wanted to be nice and polite and meet him halfway. I thought his behavior was weird, but I brushed it off. My first question was, “Can I put in a pick up order right now? Can I pay for it now and pick it up at X time?” He replied, “Give me one second” and stammered his hand in the air with some sort of annoyance?? OKAY THEN. He proceed to ask, “Is it a lot of food?” I said, “7 burritos.” He then proceeded to take my order. I told him exactly what I wanted and asked once again, “So, would that be okay? I can pick this order up at X time?” He exasperatedly replied, “I said give me a second!” That took me off guard. There was no need for his hostility. It was a genuine question. Especially when he didn’t even answer it in the first place. I dumbly proceeded with the transaction anyway. When I came back to pick up the food, the food was not ready. Which it is usually not the end of the world for me, but after his attitude, it did rub me the wrong way a little bit. I didn’t wait long though. Maybe 5-10 minutes? I’ll give them that. While I waited, he gave me a salsa container and showed me where the salsa bar was. He said, “This is for the salsa, just don’t take too much, okay?” Um, okay? What kind of comment is that? It makes you feel unwelcome and weird about even taking a single drop! To top it all off, I was still being nice and respectful… I made eye contact with one of the cooks back there when I was leaving, I waved and said thank you. No reply. Just a dead stare. Really? Are you serious? This is not the right way to treat a customer. I wouldn’t recommend this place. Go somewhere else where they give you warm welcomes or at least the same level of respect you give them. Now that I had the time to reflect on this situation, I should’ve walked away and not gone through with the purchase. Shame.

Second time getting a California burrito and it’s still bad too many fries they never put guacamole or sour cream

Los Jilbertos Taco Shop is by far the BEST taco shop around! The food is absolutely delicious and fresh! The customer service is on point! If you want authentic, fresh Mexican food, and want great customer service; this is no doubt, the place to go!

Small place cozy clean the staff is great food excellent. This place is would recommend to eat at. Food always hot chili is delicious and all the staff is awesome. Price is fair compared to most places and parking ok if not at night. Overall the food you would definitely enjoy.

I go to this place all the time and their food is super good. I always get their street tacos. I’m also such a spice person that I love getting their salsa. So if you hate salsa that is super spicy then too bad lol. I love ordering here and the staff is super nice.
