“I just saw a sign saying ‘Pub’. That’ll do for me I thought after smashing in 6 hours driving. That was Wednesday. It’s now Saturday and I haven’t moved!
Turns out Willets is a friendly, close-knit, liberal community and the Sanachie Pub seems to be the epicentre.
The pub is geared up for live music and Wednesdays are known far and wide for a good time at open mic night.
The community spirit is so strong and outsiders like me are welcomed like long friends. Pete the owner is genuinely interested in people, he owns the pizza place over the road so food was never a problem either. The Times UK has even written an article based on the pub. I thank Pete, Kai and Ambria as well as others for being them. The kindness of strangers!“
