After a long day of working out of town we decided to try this spot. Terrible idea, the person at the counter did not seem happy to see us, wish I turned around then because the food was incredibly lacking in flavor. The coleslaw smelled weird, tasted old and warm, the Mac and cheese was only edible doused in bbq sauce and the brisket may have been the worst I’ve ever had. I’m not sure if I came in on a bad day or what but I was highly disappointed ☹️ I hope they are able to reclaim themselves.

I ordered a pulled pork plate with mac and cheese and baked beans. The mac and cheese was probably a couple of days old, the baked beans were not fulled cooked, and the pulled pork was not pulled pork. Where I come from pulled pork is pork shoulder cooked low and slow and then pulled with forks. The dude chopped something with a butcher knife for our order. Our best guess is that it was chicken. No smoke flavor at all.

This place is not good. Cajun chicken was more like a jerk chicken stew and the chicken was cubed and over seasoned so much so you can feel the cheap chalky seasoning that didn’t fully incorporate into the stew sauce . The Mac and cheese was rancid and the Mac salad was also not fresh in any sense of the word . The brisket plate was just dry pulled beef . The only bbq places serving up shredded meats and not mentioning that on the menu is selling old meats like who orders shredded brisket? ! Then we ask for corn bread and the kid says oh we didn’t make any today . As soon as you walk in you get the vibe they don’t care about quality . The place is dirty with dead flies hanging out like it’s normal . Should have known it was bad when we seen the couple before us throwing out their food.

Food was magnificent! Portions were huge. Staff was super friendly. Rubs and sauces all made in house. This place is a Must Go To for BBQ lovers. Its a tiny spot so best for pick up or seating for 1-2 people.

The guy behind the counter was the only positive thing about this restaurant. I ordered the brisket sandwich, half brisket and half chicken sandwich and pork ribs with Mac n cheese and baked beans. The sides were not seasoned they had no taste. All the meat was cold, strange for a BBQ joint. The BBQ sauce was off almost like they forgot to cook it, was watery and a bunch of granulated seasoning. I was hoping this would be a great spot, but I guess I'll stick to my own smoker pit in my backyard. This is not worth my hard earned money sadly I will not recommend.

Very disappointed, once was delicious .. but as you can clearly see, it was barely palatable. Meat was overcooked, dry, and visably charred.. for 32$ a lbs for burnt brisket, it’s offensive, charred ribs for 36$ are equally so. 👎

He gave us extra collard greens for free and they were amazing.
I like supporting Black-owned businesses in Mendocino County. I've had tasty briquettes & pulled pork & the owner does not disappoint. The best BBQ I've had in this community 😋

Brisket was very good and moist, Mac and cheese was great. Wasn’t a fan of the potato salad. Ribs were good a little on the dry side. Service was great. Only complaint is that it’s dirty inside. Needs a good cleaning

They catered an event o attended with about 300 people and had the food hot and ready with food to spare. Perfectly cooked beef, pink and juicy, perfectly cooked chicken, nice and tender! Delicious smokey beans! Smiling faces on the crew. It was perfect. Highly recommend!

Had this BBQ for a group camp out near Willits Great flavor. Did a beef and chicken option buffet. All the sides. Owner and all staff very friendly. Large portions. No one was hungry.
