She took two tips and when we asked for one of them back she didn’t give it back. Then the manager our server laughed about it with the manager. It was a very degrading experience. We will never go there again.

Our server was friendly. The place was slow and unfortunately the people next to us had younger kids who kept jumping in the booth and twice pulled my hair.
It was 4 of us and we all ordered the 9.99 chicken/burger promo. The server didn't know how to input the order but cooks didn't bother helping her either. We ordered 2 burgers and 2 chicken sandwiches, we received 3 chicken sandwiches instead so sent one back. The two we received were drenched in a sauce that was really spicy and made it difficult to eat. The burger came out once we were almost done and with cold fries. We'd ordered that deal before and that was definitely not the sandwich we ordered but it was late and we just wanted to eat and go home. The kitchen was so slow and we spent a total of 2.5 hours there. When we arrived it was only 3 tables including us and maybe 5 people at the bar. Kind of a disappointing dinner.

Melissa provided my boyfriend and I awesome service in the evening. She recommended different options because of a change we wanted on a platter, and it suited us very well. She checked up on us to see if everything with our dinner was going well, it was!!!! She did demonstrate lots of respect, by providing a warning for a change in the environment. The food was great too!

My grandchildren love Applebees except the last couple of times. Went there a few nights ago and it was such a disappointment. We go there for the pretzels and they were out - 2nd time in a month. Also, told we couldn’t order any sodas. Put in our order for a bowl of soup, appetizer, 1 kid’s meal, bread sticks and 2 kid drinks. We got our bread sticks fairly quickly but no napkins on the table or small plates. I had to ask for those which took a good 5 minutes to get. After 30 minutes I had to ask if they forgot about us - our stuff came out shortly after. My five year old granddaughter even made the comment on her own how ridiculous it was that we had to wait so long! I had ordered blue cheese got ranch - since no one asked how we were doing or if we needed anything I had to ask for a few more napkins. When we were done it literally took 15 minutes to get someone to bring us containers. We needed 1 more but by this time I was so frustrated I just wanted to leave. In all fairness I had asked if they were short staffed and I was told no. We even heard the table across from us complaining. I feel bad because going to Applebees with the grandkids was becoming our little tradition. No more!

Fairy good prices but not disclosing drink prices on the menu?? Was shocked to pay almost $3 for a soda when the dinner entree was only $10! Would have drank water if the soda price was listed in the menu! When we asked the server, she said use the table app. Payment device. Whatever...then why did you give you give us a MENU???

I haven't been to Applebee's in a very long time for a couple of reasons, but I keep telling myself I'll try anything once. So I gave it another shot and discovered, MELISSA IS AMAZING. Thank you! Best menu item? Pepsi with pop rocks, it's not actually on the menu.
Edit: the seemingly automated & branded response entered by the corporate entity is off-putting at best. Applebee's, if you want to be considered part of the "neighborhood" that ain't it. Your only saving Grace here is the fantastic employee base. Otherwise most of the neighborhood will go to a smaller locally owned and operated establishment. #figguritout
