Charlie's Restaurant at the Windsor Golf Club

We visit Charlie’s two or three times a visit on our annual vacation, but we were really disappointed this time. I guess Charlie’s has changed ownership and has a new chef and it isn’t even close to the standard we have experienced over the last 15 years. The menu feels less elevated and what we did order felt sub-par including the bread. So sad to see everything getting worse instead of improving.
Seems to me they are being affected by the economy. Service took a long time and had an edge.

Made reservations for Mother’s Day and was not told that the only option would be a buffet. I wouldn’t have minded that except that the food was only so-so (much of it over cooked) and the price was $59, another surprise. Not happy at all.

Mother’s Day brunch this year was such a disappointment. They cut half the food selection. Definitely not worth the price of 60 per person.

My wife and I used to enjoy coming here several times a year, usually sitting outside to enjoy the golf course view. This time, the menu was much more limited and we had trouble finding things to order. My wife ordered the special, salmon, which tasted odd and caused some digestive issues later. The service was very spotty (my burger was delivered without ketchup and after asking for some, the waitperson evidently forgot and I eventually had to go searching for it myself). It’s certainly not bad, but it will no longer be a destination for us.

Great place to host a company event.

This is my new go-to place for hamburgers! They are soooo yummy! And their French Fries are as good as McDonald's in my opinion. The server was sufficiently attentive and friendly without hovering. And the view is so beautiful and peaceful.

Very convenient for meals while we were staying at the worldmark in Windsor for Thanksgiving. Very nice atmosphere and a variety
of menu selections. We enjoyed the view while sipping our mimosas.

Staying at worldmark hotel decided to get takeout on our last night. I ordered the braised short rib and it was awful. Dry, no flavor. The polenta it was served with was runny and very lumpy. So disappointing.

Charlie’s is located in a beautiful surrounding overlooking a big pond and a golf course. From outside dining area, the view is great. The inside dinning-room is clean and well-lit. The personnel are friendly and polite. However, the food is mediocre. I have no doubt they use good quality ingredients. Their salads are really good. For such a beautiful place in an awesome surrounding, I wish the food preparation could match the ambience to make it a wholesome dinning experience. We will visit again. And the parking outside is just perfect too.

Attentive and friendly service. Food was fresh and done well. I'm always a sucker for a great view and she has got that!! Coming back next weekend!

Not a great experience. The Caesar salad had lettuce that was turning brown in some spots. The waitress was overly friendly, calling me M'lady. Wouldn't recommend.

So we finished golfing at Windsor golf course. Came in and had 3 beers, 1 wine, and one mixed drink. Had an umbrella fall and hit me in the head, damaged my wife’s glasses, and bloodied her nose. Nothing comped. They provided ice and served us. Nothing else. I’m left with a knot on my head (possible concussion) and my wife damaged glasses and and a black eye and bloody nose. I certainly expected they wouldn’t charge us after not securing the umbrella. Watch out on the patio.
