We came by here after a birthing class, and the food/service were great. I also saw them accommodate a late to go order 15 min before closing! The food was spectacular, and we will definitely be coming back. We were fortunate, and were able to try a few things due to their restaurant week specials. We started with the lentil soup which was fabulous. The green salad with the mango salad was addictive. Husband had the lamb vindaloo and I had the Chana masala, both were excellent. The veggie samosa and sauces were fantastic. The rice pudding was a perfect way to end the meal.Vegetarian options: There is an entire section of the menu for vegetarian/vegan options.Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian and vegan options

This restaurant has the best Indian food in our area. Also the family that owns and works there are fantastic. We won’t go anywhere else.Thank you for a wonderful birthday meal. You made my day special.

This place is amazing. Whenever my friends want this style food they always come to me because they know I'm always down for Himalayan.

To say we love eating at the Himalayan Restaurant is an understatement. Maybe I'm influenced by my love for curry and lamb and they have several dishes to chose from. And, I almost forgot the garlic naan. In our house Friday evenings are date night. I assume you can guess where we spent them....

Our favorite restaurant in Windsor--and maybe our fav in all of Sonoma County. Delicious food every time. We usually order Chicken Coconut Curry, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Himalayan Noodles with Garlic Naan. If you are eating there in person, DO NOT MISS the Mushroom Pakora. We usually get 2 orders of it for our family of 4 to avoid fights breaking out. Note: if you are near starving, maybe try somewhere else. Getting the food out to you can take a while. It's worth it, though!

Had high hopes for this place as it got great reviews. We found the food pretty flavorless for Indian/ Himalayan food. The owners were very nice and gave us free samosas which I liked the most but the soup, the tofu tiki app and the vege masala were pretty bland.

Loved the food and the service. We went for the Himalayan vegerarian noodles, chana masala lunch, tofu tikka masala lunch and vegan curry lunch plate. The food was cooked in good quality olive oil. The lunch comes with roti or naan option, I suggest you opt for the wheat roti, it was really soft. The lentil soup was underwhelming, it is not the traditional daal soup which many of us are used to, it tastes different, 3/5 for the soup. Chana masala, tofu tikka masala and vegan curry are all 5/5.Lastly the Himalayan noodles are good, use the vinegar, 4/5.Vegetarian options: Himalayan fried noodles and tofu tikka masala.

Quite late in writing this review but just did not get time to review previously plus a little lazy (ha) finally got around to it and had to write this review as we had a wonderful experience dining in this establishment. We visited here in June 2023 and stopped here for dinner when visiting the sonoma valley. Since we had been to an Olive ranch tour in the afternoon and had late lunch and a little tired , we were not very hungry but were a little "pekish". We went here about 8:30 pm since it was only 10 minutes away from our hotelFood - Menu had a wide choice for vegetarians and as we were not very hungry we ordered less food than normal. We started off with avocado bhel as that is not something you have at every indian restaurant. That was very delicious and presented very nicely. Had a nice crunch as all bhels should. We also ordered the samosas and then finished off with naan and Potates & Pea curry. The naan and curry was also really good; curry had the right balance of spice and not very runny. For dessert we had Rasmalai and that was ok but I have had better in other places (p.s. I have a high standard for ras malai as that is my favorite dessert so I tend to be more critical)Service - the service was as expected and waiters were pretty friendlyAmbiance - Nothing fancy but nice clean neighborhood place to go and enjoy a meal. I did not come looking for ambianceOverall I would recommend this place at least from a vegetarian food perspective.Vegetarian options: More than enough selection for vegetarians and also for vegans
