Had dinner at KIN last night. We had an excellent experience. Our server was attentive, friendly and professional. The menu options were varied and we were all (party of 4) extremely happy with our choices. The atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable. We have been there before and will plan to go back again.
We sat outside and had a very good meal. Took a bit to be acknowledged at the table, but once we were, the service was great...server and busboys were attentive and very nice. We did receive the check before asking if we wanted coffee or dessert (it was my husband's birthday lunch), but overall, we had a nice experience and we will be back.
This is my go-to place for dinner, when in the area for work. Always a delicious meal & excellent service
My lunch guest and I had the salmon chowder and just coffee. The food was very good. The service was even better. I wish the acoustics were better in there though. It's very noisy.
The food and the service were both excellent. However, it was a busy night and it was quite loud inside, making conversation somewhat difficult
Nice variety of food on the menu. Everything we ordered was great. Well made drinks and nice servers. Would definitely recommend.
Our party of six sat in a wonderful booth and enjoyed a delicious dinner. There were three adults and three teenagers, and everyone had fantastic choices that made them happy. We will definitely be back.
I'm a burger and steak guy, but wanted to try the Ahi salad because I had one in Hawaii . I'm totally glad I did. My son had the creamy Tuscan chicken he devoured it
Cane in at 8 on a Friday. They’re open til 10, so not too crazy. We were sat right away, with empty glasses and told our server would be right over with water. 15 minutes later she poured our water and said she’s be back. Another lengthy wait and she returned to tell us the special soups or whatever. We’d figured out our whole order by then so it made no difference. We gave her drinks and food, and no surprise the food came out before the drinks…and one was wrong. The shortrib was plentiful but a little bland, luckily there was pepper at the table. The mac n cheese pizza was definitely interesting. The oddly chewy/spongy dough was incredibly thin so the pie was so soggy you couldn’t lift off a slice to a plate. Just order the dish sans pizza and you’d be better off. Also….she arrived as the plates were being placed by someone else and then didn’t come back to actually check on is until one plate was empty. It took us an hour to eat as the place was really emptying out well before closing time so i don’t understand why this server was so inattentive.

Restaurant is very noisy, not energetic. My wife had to wear her noise canceling earbuds and I had to turn down my hearing aids to make it bearable. The noise echoed throughout the place. There was an attempt to control the noise with some sound panels on the ceiling but it was not enough. This made it hard to hear the wait staff and each other during dinner. Food is great, but I would pick the outdoor seating for a relaxing quiet meal.
Restaurantji Recommends
The staff is amazing and the food is fantastic. I recommend the Hot Crab Dip, Fried Brie & Raspberry Salad, Braised Short Ribs, Shrimp & Polenta, Pink Squirrel, and KIN Old Fashioned. I'll be back for sure.
We just had my daughter’s birthday at Kin after calling ahead of time. The service was AWFUL! Worst we’ve had in years. We sat for 10 minutes with a 1 and 4 year old before anyone even came with water. Plates weren’t cleared, dessert took well over 10 minutes and never arrived so we left. The food isn’t great so I’d never ever recommend this restaurant to anyone and it’s a shame they have such great real estate right on the town green, horrible.

We've tried to like this place a few times.
Every time we return we're reminded of why we don't come here. The noise is the primary issue. It is so loud it can be overwhelming for two people just trying to enjoy a dinner together. There are plenty of other less noisy options in town. If you have a large party, this might be a good option. The food is just ok and the mixed drinks are hit and miss.

Nice spot, small patio if you want to bring your dog. Great omnivore and vegetarian options, but almost nothing vegan, which was disappointing. Fun drinks on the cocktail menu.

I ordered "The Dip". The menu description lured me in! Sadly, it did not live up to its description.
While the meat was tender, it really had no flavor. It was served with a "smoked horseradish cream" that tasted more like plain mayonnaise - disappointingly zero horseradish flavor.
The service was fine - not extraordinary. We made a reservation but ate at 3:45 and really didn't need one at that time.
What can I say, disappointingly average.
