The location isn't where you'd expect to find a nice restaurant. But the food is great, and the service is too.

Ume Japanese Bistro is an amazing restaurant. We have only eaten here for dinner or gotten food to go, although they are open for lunch as well. There is a decent amount of parking, which is nice as well.
The food is delicious and I personally love that they have vegetarian options as well as a lot of amazing seafood options. I often get the Vegetarian Sushi Plate and it is very flavorful. I have tried several different things here and have loved everything...

We loved that the restaurant is practically divided in half with one side brightly lit with families and the other dimly lit with couples. Made for an easier, more pleasant dining experience. Our server was very good in making recommendations and filling our order quickly.
Our group enjoyed a bottle of sake, sukiyaki, hamachi kama, vegetarian rolls, miso soup, and steak teriyaki. Everything was in good portions...
