Just get the baseball peppercorn steak or whatever they call it. Best steak I’ve had. Especially compared to overpriced places Ive been to recently.

We've previously loved all our visits here, except last night disappointed ?. Server was friendly, but uneducated on wines so couldn't assist with questions. Most wine is now by the bottle, rather than glass, w/o taste prior to purchase. Clam appetizer was tasty, NY steak was good, not usual excellent, rack of lamb was awesome (please offer mint jelly upon request), chimichura sauce not my favorite, with lamb. The broccoli/pepper veggie portion was tough and bitter. Hopefully this is a rare bad night.

The place accommodated a small company team meal for us including personalized attentive service from Victoria in making arrangements. The team arrived and enjoyed wonderful service. The environment is well decorated and fitting to the cuisine and surroundings. The location in the quaint downtown of Winters creates a wonderful feeling and the food was excellent. Their charbroiled seasoned tri tip is truly mouth watering

Great scallops appetizer, Ceasar salad waaay too simple, added grilled chicken (very good). Strawberry hill drink delicious. Bread with butter very tasty. Grilled salmon was enjoyable, tri-tip (too much fiber not great overall) with baked potato and veggies. Out of the dessert I wanted soo didn't have any. Overall just ok

Best food anywhere. I love their halibut. Wish it was steak cut though. Steaks, salads, vegetables farm to table fresh. Deserts delicious. Service is great. Love it so much drive in from Vacaville. Wide selection of wine and beers.

Nestled in the quaint town of Winters, CA, Buckhorn Steakhouse beckons to those with a hankering for a delectable steak dinner. Stepping into this establishment, you're transported to a bygone era with its charming "old west" welcoming vibe. My recent visit to Buckhorn Steakhouse was nothing short of delightful. Opting for the boneless Ribeye while my wife savored the Fillet Mignon, we were treated to an exceptional culinary experience. The steaks were cooked to perfection, each bite bursting with flavor and tenderness. Accompanying our mains were the garlic mashed potatoes, which can only be described as pillows of heaven - creamy, rich, and utterly satisfying. Before diving into our steaks, we indulged in the Tri-Tip Tot-Chos appetizer, a unique fusion of flavors that left us craving for more. Crispy tater tots topped with tender tri-tip and savory toppings - it was a delightful start to our meal and one I wholeheartedly recommend. What truly elevated our dining experience was the attentive service provided by our server. Knowledgeable and courteous, they ensured that every aspect of our meal was impeccable, from recommendations to refills. The atmosphere at Buckhorn Steakhouse is something to be savored as well. With its rustic décor and inviting ambiance, it's the perfect setting for a special evening out or a well-deserved treat. In conclusion, Buckhorn Steakhouse offers more than just a meal; it's an experience. From the succulent steaks to the cozy atmosphere, every detail is crafted to perfection. If you find yourself in Winters, CA, craving a fabulous steak dinner, look no further than Buckhorn Steakhouse. It's a culinary journey worth embarking on.

This is not the same scale restaurant it was before Covid. The steaks were very small, definitely not the advertised sizes. Not worth the money. We won't be back.

I have heard soo many good things about Buckhorn Steakhouse that I just had to go try it! I made the drive out to Winters on a Sunday and luckily it wasn't super busy! I ordered the prime rib and it was delicious! If it wasn't so far, I would definitely come more often.

My family and I ate here tonight. The food was excellent. The blue cheese dressing was the best I have ever had. The lobster tails were great, all the food was wonderful. I just returned from living in the UK for 16 years and it was nice to eat good food again. Our waiter, Adam was wonderful. He was patient, kind, and amazing. Thank you Adam. We will return.

Came here to celebrate a birthday for a party of 8. This was my second time at Buckhorn - the first time I was not impressed, probably why it took me 7 years to come back! The food was mediocre, no flavor, no seasoning, very bland! To top it off, expensive for what it was. I would say it's easy to share a plate as the portions are pretty big, especially if appetizers and bread are ordered. To a surprise, my favorite was the bread and butter... The ambience is beautiful, we were in the party room and it was dimly lit and decor was perfect. Attention was also great but due to the party size, it's a given as the gratuity is already included and paid for. The total for 8 with shareable plates was $611 and both my partner and I were so disappointed on our way home. It's a skip for us!

This was our first time here and it was cozy with friendly staff. Me and my husband both ordered a steak with baked potato and I ordered mine medium rare and he ordered his rare. Both came out super rare, to the point where it was hard to eat. The baked out was overcooked and the veggies were very salty. The server was accommodating and the manager made it right. Disappointing for a first experience.

My husband, sister & I came here last Mon evening. We were seated at a booth in the bar, and Adam came and took our drinks orders. My sister & I both got the Buckhorn Hazy IPA which were great, & my husband enjoyed his Buckhorn IPA. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that it was Happy Hour so our beers were only $5, which is unheard of these days. We decided to share an order of their Brussel Sprouts $12 which were yummy. We also got an order of the Bacon Wrapped Jalapenos $8, which they enjoyed. We got an order of the Bruschetta $8 which was rather small and kind of hard to eat since it was on a long baguette that wasn't sliced very well. I had heard their Tri Tip sliders were really good. I'm not much of a red meat eater, but we got an order of 3 since they were also on the Happy Hour menu for $8. OMG!! They were delicious!! I got mine with BBQ sauce since I'm not a fan of horseradish. The buns were fluffy, and the crispy onion strings really worked wonderfully. I could have eaten an entire plate myself. Days later I found myself craving them. Adam did a great job checking on us.
