This is my new favorite place anywhere near and around Vacaville. The cocktails are perfectly made and taste good too!! we had scallops on the half shell that were absolutely delicious and we had beef tartare which was incredibly tasty and we added artichoke dip with toasted French bread. It was more than we can eat but we love the atmosphere and the service was fantastic so this is my new favorite place! We also had a couple nice McAllen 12s. You should definitely give it a try!

My husband and I loved The DeVilbiss Room! The place is swanky, we loved the decor. But the drinks were the best part! I had THE best Manhattan ever. Highly recommend this place for a drink and light bites to eat!

I entertained a professional group from all over the country in Vacaville, and for the big meal where the group socializes, I chose the Buckhorn in Winters. It was an excellent choice. Each member of the group expressed a favorable impression of the historic building, the atmosphere, and the food.

We had a great time. The bar area was awesome. We had a bartender that was really working hard. The only problem was that she was all by herself working a bar that was totally overwhelming. One guy was making drinks for the tables and she was left to take care of bar business. Slow for people unless you were sitting at the bar. Our reservation was on time and the waitress did a great job. You did feel that they were herding cattle at a point because they were moving so fast, you didn't have much time for questions or comments. The food was excellently prepared. The price was reasonable.

I would recommend it but perhaps not on a Saturday night on a 3 day weekend. The bar was crowded, and for some reason we had a more surly group waiting to be served than normal, which took something away. We came in early, got our buzzer and moved to the bar, but we had to stand as the place was packed. Table service was excellent, and of course the food was also very good. We let the waitress know we had a show to catch at the Palms, and she got the bill to us immediately.

If you look around, you will find an earlier review of this restaurant by me.. Still the same GOOD place for a steak.. We had reservations and got to the restaurant thirty minutes early..After waiting for 20 min., we spotted an open table in the bar and grabbed it. You really don't need a reservation as you can go into the bar and get a table as one is vacating.. The bar is a quieter room than the dining area.. The place is noisy.... Was packed on a Sunday at 6 PM..This, in the town of Winters, population of appx. 8,000.. I had prime rib, rare..This piece of meat was soooo rare, that I don't think they placed it on the grill for more than 30 seconds per side.. I do enjoy rare meat.. Their mushroom soup was excellent. My wife had a salad and salmon..She enjoyed her meal. I would classify this place as the best steakhouse within 100 miles.. NO MATTER WHAT YOU ORDER, YOU WILL ENJOY IT..

We have been going to this restaurant for years and love their food. The only disappointment the recent two meals was having to wait 25-30 minutes for our table, after our reservation time. Still love the place! Hopefully they will correct this scheduling problem.
