It was closed at 3:00 p.m. can't give this place a review if I haven't tried it. Then on another site it said it was temporarily closed? So I don't know what's going on here.

I placed an order for two subs from Art’s… PAID.. got confirmation of my payment and when the sandwiches were ready.. went to go pick up and no one was in the shop and the doors were locked. I called numerous times and couldn’t get a hold of anybody.

Heard nothing but good things about this place so we decided to finally give it a try. Placed an order for our family online and paid. Got confirmation via text and was charged. Showed up and the store is closed. No one in sight, doors locked but their website and Google said open. I have tried calling 10 times during their hours and no one has answered once. Just sitting with a $67 charge for sandwiches we never got and can’t even get ahold of anyone in store.

I grew up here in the West Valley and have passed this place so many times. I have always been curious to try it since it's a shop that's been on Ventura Blvd for like 20 years. After a friend told me that this used to be her go-to lunch stop, I decided to give it a try. The parking is pretty great given its location. There's a parking structure that is fee free, and there is a side entrance to the shop so you don't have to walk all the way around back to the front street entrance. The cafe its self is has a NYC sub shop vibe to it. I enjoyed the friendliness of the staff. At my first visit, the shop owner was there helping me decide between sandwiches. The one thing that bummed me out was that they didn't have some of the items I wanted like Swiss cheese and the banana pudding. The owner stated she was out of Swiss for the day and that she hadn't made any pudding. However, I wasn't too upset cause I appreciate a restaurant that uses fresh ingredients! The sub itself, I ordered their Turkey Ham & Cheese, was pretty good! The pickles are house made and are delicious! The only things I didn't like were first, the pickle spear the comes with the sub was way too wet when she plated it with my sub. By the time I finished the first half of my sandwich, the bread of second half was soggy. Secondly, I do not like how they chop their ingredients. I prefer sliced tomatoes and onions and this place uses diced tomatoes and onions. Nevertheless, those are very minor preferences that I had. I still enjoyed the dry half of my sub and have been back a few more times since.

Quality has gone down and for a sandwich over $20 each, it shouldn't come with avocado that's rubber tasting, just say we don't have any available. Still don't know why I was charged extra for cheese when it says on the menu cheese was included. This used to be a great place and now the sandwich's have not much taste.

The two ladies working here yesterday were lovely. And my turkey sandwich was fantastic. I love the bread they use and all the ingredients were fresh. They know how to make a great, well-proportioned sandwich. Will definitely be back again.

I was there today to pick up my favorite Ham and cheese sandwhich. Let me just say the taste of the sandwhich and the size is awesome all other competitors have nothing on Art's subs. And the person that helped me was extremely nice talk about great service Thank you.

It was delicious. We picked up subs for the beach. They were large, the bread was soft and fresh and they were piled up with yummy stuff. A great little sub shop.

Awesome service and even better subs. Stopped in for a bite after a long road trip and got the turkey and cheese. The bread was super soft, the veggies super fresh and it even came with a pickle and extras.

Pulled up Art's Sub on Yelp well in the parking lot. Hours indicated location closes in 13min. My husband and decided to go in, to possibly order ONE sandwich. Door was OPEN, lady behind the counter says "Hi, we're closed". My husband and I look at each other confused. The gentleman in the back says, "we're still open", to which she replied "not for long". My husband and I walked out, never to return. I understand wanting to leave work on time, but turning away a dollar, I don't understand. Unless she didn't want OUR business.

Great sub!! Definitely filling and it’s a great price for how large it comes! Got to try some of their cookies too and the macadamia one is my favorite!

Update: I have been trying to call and get a refund on the sandwiches I never received for 2 weeks now and no one answers! Placed an order online with you guys for pick up, paid for 3 sandwiches, arrived at 12:30pm (pick up time that it said it would be ready by), and you are CLOSED!! It says you are open till 3:00 pm today and the doors were locked, lights off, and no one inside! I spent $46.97, my order was accepted by you guys and you closed without any notice! So now I'm out money on sandwiches I paid for and never received ! The absolute worst business!
