The Honey Peach cocktail was delish, and I seriously need the recipe for the sweet corn bread thing... We come here every time we come out from AZ, and love it!
Absolutely horrible meal with steak tasting like liver. Chips three baskets later still tasted stale. Had a reward and didn't let me use it. Thoroughly disappointed
Great authentic Mexican buffet. Worth the price! Good service & plenty of assortment! Pozole was delicious!
It took us almost an HOUR to get seated. We were waiting out in the hot sun for a full 50 minutes.
Had reservations but still had to wait 20 mins and had to go and remind them about reservations after 20mins . But manager gave us a table and everything else was fine.
The food was delicious and our server was great. No complaints here. Love the chips and salsa!
Food not very good. Servers disappeared for a while. Enchilada sauce is not good. Restroom was Nasty. You can tell about a kitchen by seeing how they keep the Restrooms. They put sweet and sour juice in the Pina colada and it was terrible.

The food was crap and took forever…when the bill came they over charged us and the waitress couldn’t add the bill properly. We waited so long just to get a manger and then when we got upset other patrons came over to threaten, harass, and intimidate us by getting in our faces the manager did nothing g to stop or protect us…the waitress and manager should be fired let alone shut down the restaurant….I am about to get my lawyer and sue because of how we were made to feel

Great service! Came in with a large group and they were able to accommodate us. I liked the table side guac.
Sunday brunch did not have enough service support. The place smelled great. I ate before showing up.

It wa a very disappointing experience from beginning to end. We were seated after 25 minutes of waiting on the lobby, then it took them another 30 minutes to take our order which at the end was the manager that had to come to take care of it. We had a party of 3 adults and 2 kids and our son was very excited because it was $1 kids Wednesday, we told the manager to bring the kids food right away as they were starving and that if it was need it our Family style fajitas could come later. To our surprise the fajitas came first and the kids food came 15 minutes later. They had to change our sweet corn servings as to even the surprise of the waiter they looked a watery mass. And to top it off at the end of the evening the manager only gave us a $1 dollar discount for 1 of the kids because according to her we only order 1 entree but clearly our plate states that it is for 4 people and even the price is much higher than if the adults had ordered each one entree. So total fail by the manager who handle our dinning experience from beginning to end without even acknowledging the shortcomings of the poor service that she provided. If it makes any difference look the reviews that I had posted for this location throughout the years as we have been coming to this restaurant for decades. We are extremely disappointed to say the least.
The atmosphere is cosy and welcoming. You wouldn't be able to guess from the outside what the inside was set up like.
There was no wait when we went around 1pm on a weekday. And chips and salsa were served almost immediately (chips wer crispy and light, salsa was chunky and fresh with lots of cilantro)
We got the chicken taco salad which was genuinely a salad; with chicken; with a very crispy taco shell (most taco salads we've had in the past are more shell and refried beans than lettuce) and the chicken enchiladas (which honestly were a little bit of a let down. They were mostly cheese with small amounts of chicken and with a thin red sauce on top) but overall it was flavorful.
The Marg flight was quite tasty and I enjoyed the different rims on each cocktail.
Our server was efficient, fast talking, and friendly.
Overall, it met my food and drinks needs in the moment (I was absolutely starving when we arrived) but I'm not sure I'd feel a need to go back, if I ended up in the area again (I'd likely feel inclined to check out other places in the area, as a tourist, rather than do a repeat visit)

El Torito immediately transports you south of the border with its vibrant and festive atmosphere. The decor is a delightful explosion of color, with intricate murals, rustic furniture, and traditional Mexican artwork adorning every corner. From the moment you step inside, you feel immersed in a lively fiesta, making it the perfect setting for a fun night out with friends or family.
Beyond the ambiance, El Torito offers some great deals that make it a decent choice for budget-conscious diners. Their Taco Tuesday specials are a real steal, with a wide variety of meats to choose from, ensuring there's something for everyone. And if you're looking for a pre-dinner drink or a casual bite, their happy hour boasts enticing discounts on appetizers and drinks.
While El Torito might not be the place to go for the most authentic Mexican cuisine, it delivers satisfying and generously portioned dishes with a distinctly Americanized twist.
The food is good, but not great, for those who enjoy familiar favorites with a south-of-the-border flair. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the large portions, making it a solid choice for a casual and enjoyable dining experience.
