I haven't been here for years because the owner was so rude but decided to give it a chance again. She said I needed to show vaccination , to grocery shop?? Check your mandates !! Never will come back again . Shelves are empty anyway .

I'm debating whether this place is a 3 or 4 star, and I'll lean towards the 4 because the 'young lady' that helped me was exceptional. It appears this is a family owned business, and Mama and Auntie are running the show! I got the German cold cut sandwich, it looked kind of plain, was it really wasn't, it was quite good. The shop looks dated, and kind of bare, but this can be expected with Covid Supply delays. The spot is quit nice and I'd recommend a drop and a taste for yourself!

Great place have been going here for over 15 years. Sandwiches are so so good & fresh. Good place to grab lunch sandwich. Our family buys a lot of the deli selections & merchandise especially for holidays and just to keep in our freezer. The place is very small so now that I’m in a wheelchair I’m not sure I can physically go in but you can call and order and pick up or FaceTime with someone to shop!I don’t agree with another reviewer saying the place is bad because the employee didn’t allow or want a service dog in the place. Especially since these days, in Los Angeles, it seems anyone with a little social anxiety has a Service dog. (Obviously within reason and within the state laws, of course) It’s a very small space with fresh meats and food products and I would not want a dog or a miniature service horse (because there is such a thing) in there either for sanitary reasons. And yes I’m an animal lover & owner, 3 dogs & a cat.Growing up in L.A. with European family we’ve been to so many small European deli’s and hands down , although very small, definitely the cleanest establishment and consistently so for over 15 years in the Los Angeles area.

I really hope Ursula and the gang keep things going at this beloved deli off Topanga Canyon -- because they make the best sandwiches I've eaten! The German Cold Cuts are superior to most anything similar you'll find in America, the cheese is outstanding and the rye is a must have. You'll never think of an all-American baloney sandwich on balloon bread the same again. I normally pick up a few other items there like German mustard, some holiday marzipan pastries if it's that time of year... I just wish they still carried the limburger (and a few other things) in the refrigerated section that was out of this world. Make sure to check and see if they are open because I think they are closed Sundays and Mondays.

The best hidden secret, a gem? in Woodland Hills. No frills just a great turkey sub made with love. Friendly service from genuine folks.

I've known about this place for something like 10 years and never got around to trying it, finally did! Delish sandwich at a great price, cool small store ambiance and neat German stuff you can't find anywhere else. Worth your time ?

Beware people with disabilities and service dogs are not welcome!Wanted to try the German cold cuts and was excited with all the great reviews they had. Well didn’t have a chance to try or buy anything because an elderly woman, assuming the owner, started screaming at me, my partner and the service dog he had that the dog can’t be there. The employees behind the counter noticed the service dog tags, but the woman continued “No, No the dog can’t be here I need an ID for it and what exactly is your disability condition”Asking what is your disability condition can cost a business a fat fine! Thanks but no thanks I don’t need to spend money in an establishment that discriminates people with disabilities! And yes the service dog ID card was shown…

As a born and raised Hamburger Deern, I must have my Wiener Würstchen every so often. They may look like a hot dog but they're so much better. I usually order at least obe extra one which And I cannot forget the huge variety of luncheon meatd or my favorite Leberwurst.I will eat cold on my way home.

I came here often when I was a child. Now as an adult I appreciate their quality and customer service. Everything I've had there is great as far as the meat goes, that's what I go there for. Come and try a little taste of Germany without going all the way to Germany.
