I’ve been going to Nicolas for over 20 years. I love their bread, salads and pastas. I went a few weeks ago and I thought the prices were insane!! $21 for their basic (BeBe mix) salad with NO chicken. I was just looking at a similar restaurant in Malibu and it was $19 for a salad with chicken. The BeBe mix salad shouldn’t be more than $16. The place was also pretty quiet for noon on a Friday. Perhaps if the prices were $5 per item lower it would be busier. Don’t be greedy...

I've known Nicola's Kitchen for over 20 years. This is the first time in 6 years that I've been back and I'm happy to report that the quality and service remain unchanged!

It has a home style feeling here, the food taste good and the prices are reasonable. We ate Chicken Piccata, Chicken Marsala and Lasagna.

Parking: Metered parking on Ventura Blvd is cheaper than the parking structure, the only problem is the meter only has 1 hour on it so we had to run outside to pay the meter because we wanted to stay and chat for a little bit.
