Bad bad bad, food is not fresh and menu pricing different when getting the bill. Very expensive for gas station sushi.

My favorite japenese place! I always enjoy the quality of the sushi, they are also very accommodating to allergies and will swap out ingredients of the sushi for your needs. They also have the best teriyaki I’ve ever tasted, not sure what they did but it’s amazing!! Service is amazing and a very cool atmosphere.
We always come back!

There's different types of Japanese restaurants. This is a neighborhood sushi bar. For a neighborhood place the atmosphere should be friendly and relaxed. Service should accomadate, and be quick. The food, well it all starts with the buyer, and the guy breaking down the fish. It's the background things because all these little places look a like. This place has very little scent, incredibly clean. Music, restaurant noise and relaxed conversation are on par. There's free parking in the nack. So you arrive and everything is friendly and chill. There's a great selection of sakes and beer. Shoju and whiskey isn't here because it's not that kinda place. The fish is a mix of exotic and common, but all of it is expertly cut and prepared. Warm rice, cold fish as god intended, and none of those crazy ginormous rolls, its..not that kinda place. There is a long bar, and a family table in the back. I rarely give a 5, but I haven't been to a neighborhood bar this good in 15 years.

First time coming here. Sushi was OK. For the price I paid i expected better cuts of fish. Not enough selection of rolls. Hand cut rolls range from $19-$25. Kind of expensive for what you get. Service was OK. Not really friendly staff. Heard the waitress talking about another employee not in a good way. Really a conversation that should not be had when customers are around. We want to be in a pleasant atmosphere when we eat. Thanks. So many sushi places around Ventura Blvd.. I'd say maybe try those first.

I’m becoming a lunch regular at this place. Consistently the highest quality, tasty Japanese food at reasonable prices.

Over priced and disgusting. Sat down and the guy was preparing some of the smelliest fish I've ever been around. automatically nope to all fish at that point. Order chicken teriyaki with tempura. Tempura didn't come. Luckily didn't charge for it. Guess the guy didn't hear me or half paying attention.

Teriyaki came. Plate full of sauce. Couldn't eat the salad because it was soaking in teriyaki. Chicken was rubbery and undercooked. So nibbled a tiny bit and tried the rice. It tasted like it had been cooked in soap. Never refilled water.

Bill came. Finally, I could be done. Nope. Mistake in the bill. Wife said you under charged us. Took it back and she overcharged us. Finally got it close enough and we paid and got the hell outta there.

Solid sushi bar experience. Fish quality wasn't too high, but the American style rolls had the right feel to them overall. As a valley native living out of state, I must say you can't find better American style sushi anywhere but the west coast, and my craving was satisfied.

10/10! I think this is one of the best sushi spots in the valley. They are always so friendly and the fish is super fresh. It’s small and quaint, but they treat you like family when you are there!

Very fine.
I can't eat with chopsticks was a great challenge.

Despite some comments, the food and the visit were great.

A little thing, if we order a starter then it would be cool that it comes before the main course and the main course would come for both at the same time (the beef teriaky came about 5 minutes after the partner's fish)
