I recently visited this amazing sushi place with my kids, and I couldn't be happier with our experience. It was their first time trying sushi, and the staff went above and beyond to make it special. They were not only friendly and patient but also incredibly helpful in explaining the different types of sushi and making recommendations based on what the kids might like. The sushi itself was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. I highly recommend this place to anyone, especially those introducing their children to sushi. A truly memorable dining experience!

I've been a customer for a few years. I believe the quality of the food has dropped significantly. The preparation of sushi is sloppy, many of rolls are prepared ahead of time, which results in dry rice. The signature or "fresh rolls" seem to rely on sauces to make up for the subpar fish. Sushi in LA these days, has pulled away from the simplicity yet fine preparation of the highest quality ingredients that Japan is famous for...but of course there are those that couldn't care less about quality. There are a few spots nearby that offer not only quality but also value.

When we visit we always sit at the bar in front of Chef Alex. His spot is the right side of the bar. He is so cool and personable to the point that he and my partner buddies now! I also adore Mookie, the server/manager/co-owner (I think?). She’s friggen adorable. They always treat us well and serve us high quality dishes. The price accurately reflects the quality of the dishes served, and this is coming from someone who seems to always get sick no matter how nice the place is. It is such a great spot and we are proud to be considered regulars!Kid-friendliness: The music is nice and there are a bunch of tables that accommodate strollers.Wheelchair accessibility: Lots of accessible tables.

It wasn't good. We really wanted to like it but it was the worst sushi we have ever had. The toro sushi was good but that was it. Only giving 2 starts because the service was great, our waitress was awesome. But lord the sushi was awful!Parking: Awful parking lot, it's small, shared with other businesses and ill lit.

I really like the food, atmosphere, and service here. This place is in an unassuming location in woodland hills, not far from westfield mall, and across the st. from a business park. Food is always delicious, and and a good place for a lunch. Thank you for the friendly service and food. ❤️

Great for lunch, the specials are solid and the options are too. Otherwise, overpriced for sure. I like the "rice-Fred rolls" section of the menu, I wish more sushi restaurants did that.

When a pushy server writes in his own tip, I really can't trust a place. The lunch special was also overpriced, not that that is his fault.

My wife and I visit Tomoya often because the food and service are great! We each typically get the Forbidden Pleasure Roll, and my favorite is the Japanese curry with chicken. And Kayla and Mookie are our favorite waitresses!

Thanks to the pandemic I haven't been here for a year. What a surprise... the atmosphere was upgraded as well as the menu and the price. The food was delish but what used to be an inexpensive lunch place... not so much.

Not a fan of this place. Really cold inside and they don't care about the costumer's being cold. The sushi is mediocre at best.
