My biggest fear while planning our wedding was not falling into the stereotype of "bad wedding food"... and unfortunately, my fears came true. We chose TRES LA because they seemed to be the most professional out of the vendors our venue provided, but now I can see that their entire allure is a lie. I will preface by saying my family has been in the restaurant business for 30 years and I am not one to stray away from praise or criticism when it comes to food/service.

My first red flag was with our planner Kelsie, who could possibly be the worst at the company when it comes to communication and timely responses. It literally took weeks to get simple responses, despite reaching out through phone and email. My second red flag was the fact that after spending tens of thousands on our food service, they had the nerve to charge us an additional $500 for a tasting menu, which is usually included in a wedding catering contract. When we got to our tasting, we were pleasantly surprised that the food was actually delicious, but when the wedding day finally arrived, we were shocked to see how badly they dropped the ball on everything we wanted.

For the platted dinner service, the salads came out first...40 minutes later the main course finally showed up. My wife and I got the FIRST main course dishes out of the kitchen, and both were stone cold, tasteless and devoid of any of the changes we requested for our tasting. Absolutely NOTHING tasted as good as we had in our tasting and all of the upgrades we requested were not on the plate. The risotto was cold and tasteless, the fish was dry and served with no sauce even though we requested that at the tasting, the vegetables were cold and raw (Brussel sprouts still had the bottom nub on them!) and the meat we paid extra to upgrade was tough and not what we chose.

To be fair, the bar service was the only redeeming part of the catering, but they are an outsourced company and not even affiliated with TRES. When we brought up all concerns after the wedding, they offered us a VERY small compensation compared to the MASSIVE amount we spent with them. We waited a month for them to offer fair compensation and still no response. Overall, this company was the ultimate bait and switch service we've ever dealt with. Id love to say “you get what you paid for” but for what we paid, we absolutely did NOT receive what we were sold. False advertising from start to finish. Spare yourself and chose anyone else to cater your once in a lifetime wedding or you will regret it like we did.

TresLA catered our wedding this past weekend at Sunstone Villa! Kelsie and the team were awesome to work with. The tasting was super fun and they took feedback very well. We got SO many compliments that we had the best wedding food! The chef is extremely talented and was even able to make a bunch of traditional Asian dishes like Peking duck for our guests. Thank you TresLA!!

If bait & switch was a college course they’d teach it. I don’t recommend this company for catering or to work at.

Our daughter celebrated her wedding last weekend and I could not wait to share how superb Tres LA catering and Sweet water Cocktails were Firstly Kelsie, Avery, Jenny and the many people involved behind the scenes are all truly a dream team. A week later our guests cannot stop talking about the incredible food thanks to the talented chefs and kitchen staff as well as the superb and flawless bar service. Thank you Tres LA and Sweet Water, as well as each and everyone of your dedicated staff for making this an unforgettable evening and celebration.

We have Tres LA cater the food at our wedding 2 weeks ago and we are still oohing and aahing over the food and the staff! We had a personal staff member who kept delivering us our signature drinks and our appetizers personally. That was so appreciated! Everyone loved the food and the presentation of it all. So delicious, thank you!

Tres LA catered our wedding at Cielo Farms a few weeks ago, and WOW. Not only was the food phenomenal (omg you have to have the miso glazed cod), but the entire team was so amazing to work with. We mostly worked with Kelsie and Avery, and since my husband and I did most of the wedding planning ourselves, we were (happily) in constant communication with them regarding food, bar, amount of glassware and table top rentals, etc. They really truly helped us navigate all that is planning a wedding - we are so grateful to have worked with them! Also, as much of a blur as the actual day was, I just remember that their onsite team was PHENOMENAL. Literally top tier service. The food, the team, the onsite staff - I wish I could give them more stars!!

We worked with Rob this past week for our absolutely stunning wedding at Cielo Farms, catered by TresLA. I cannot emphasize how many compliments we received on our catering and service. Most people dread wedding food -- but all of our guests felt like they had gone to an upscale five star meal. TresLA was the best choice for our catering. They are fantastic at what they do, professional, and cater to unique requests too -- if you have a special meal (or first date meal) that you want on the menu, they are open to collaboration and excited to work together. Highly recommend!! Truly luxury service!!

The owner of Tres LA double charged my credit card.. numerous calls and emails then this Alamtried to say it was a security deposit but that makes no sense because it’s not in the contract it’s a double charge! What a crook!

We were obligated to go with Tres LA to cater our wedding because our venue required it. Decent experience leading up to the wedding, but they dropped the ball day of. A third of our guests had to wait over an hour for their entree course following the salad. Once it arrived, it was stone cold. It was so bad that a few of our guests even commented to us about it :-(We went with them because they allegedly are very comfortable working at the venue. Not sure what went wrong…They tried to throw our wedding coordinator under the bus for this, but the timing doesn’t add up. Offered to speak to us on the phone but never followed through. Unfortunate experience when you’re spending tens of thousands of dollars.

Rob at Tres LA was very personable, yet when our daughters wedding was cancelled due to the Pandemic, the wedding was scheduled for 4/4/20, we could never come to an agreement on a new wedding date, thus we lost 1/2 of our funds paid in full. Tres LA kept $12,000.00 and never gave us anything in return. Rob did arrange an at home small ceremony with a crew of 8 on 4/4/20 in honor of what would of been the wedding at our home he brought in a violinist and some flowers and candles, this was the nicest thing we received from the whole wedding plight.
