I ordered the brisket dinner and it was delicious! It came with a corn muffin, watermelon slice, honey butter for the corn muffin and with two sides. I got the house salads and potatoe salad.

This the best for great BBQ and a enjoyable family experience. Very down home decor and the food is absolutely incredible. Doesn't matter what you order, the meats are cooked to perfection. There's something for everyone. Maybe I'm biased because they've been in the community for so long. Great family and business. If you haven't been to Ludy's BBQ, you're missing out.

My husband and I have lived in woodland for 3 years now and today was the first time we tried Ludy's! We are IN LOVE. We are always searching for a good BBQ spot and this is the best spot in the sacramento area.
This time around we ordered the family pack with the chicken and tri tip + the baked beans, mac & cheese, and corn bread with honey butter. We are big bbq people and love the smokey taste! I MUST say, Ludy's does it right! The smoke is just perfect. BBQ sauce is homemade, of course. The owner has won so many awards and appears to have so many amazing employees that want us to enjoy our experience. We were worried that we didn't choose the brisket as one of the sides for our family order and regretted it, so the cooks gave us a sample of the brisket to take home and it was to die for. We were so thankful they graciously offered us a sample.
And to top it off, the owner was at the restaurant and said hi, introduced himself, and made sure we felt welcome. He invited us back if liked the food and service, and this will definitely be a regular spot for us.
All in all, very pleased with the quality of food, customer service, and environment. Highly recommend. Worth every penny!

We heard Ludys had made a return so we had to go grab some food. I got the prime rib sandwich and it tastes pretty good! My wife (who loved the main St Ludys) got the pulled pork sandwich and ate about half. I tried it and we both agreed it did not taste as good as it used to. It seemed overcooked and the flavor was not great. She was definitely disappointed. Our kids got chicken strips and fries, no complaints from them. The portions are large and the staff were super friendly as well!!
Food had large portions but the bbq was a disappointment. Seasoning was bland and the Food was luke warm like it was cooked by Chef Microwave. Place is small too.
