Gorgeous setting, wonderful attentive staff. Such a pleasure to have Lane stop by our table and chat. Red wines are hearty. Lovely crisp white wines. This was a last minute decision to burn a little time (pun intended haha!) before heading to the Sac airport. Definitely coming back!

I’ve been a member here for nearly five years, but life has never really allowed me the chance to enjoy the full experience. Today this beautiful summer evening, Sunday, June 29, I finally had the opportunity to relax and take it all in.
A huge shoutout to !!!JAY!!!! Our amazing host!!!! Who was kind, thoughtful, and truly elevated our experience. He made us feel welcomed and accommodated, especially considering we had my 6-month-old nephew and my sister, who’s postpartum, with us. It was over 100° outside, and the misters were on, but it was still too hot for the baby. I kindly suggested to Jay …we move inside where it was cooler and allowed us to take just our glasses and wine (no food) in with us. He agreed … and made all the difference.
Unfortunately, while Jay was exceptional, the management was the complete opposite. Instead of approaching us with understanding or even basic decency, we were abruptly told we had to leave the indoor area…no conversation, no empathy, just hostility. We weren’t taking up space or disturbing anyone….we were simply trying to cool off and let my sister feed her baby comfortably. It was disappointing to be treated so poorly in a place I’ve supported for years.
Today was a bittersweet reminder that while some staff (like JAY) truly care about the customer experience, management still has a long way to go. I hope they recognize and appreciate employees like Jay…because they’re the reason members like me continue to come back.

We couldn't have asked for a better venue for our mom's memorial celebration. The staff was attentive to all our needs. Our guests had a wonderful experience..It's a beautiful location with ample room for socializing and relaxing. I don't think we took full advantage of all they have to offer.
Absolute amazing experience. It was my first time wine tasting. I went with my mom and was nervous. Beautiful tasting with beautiful views. Will definitely be coming back with all my girl friends to experience. The workers were extremely professional and delightful.

Matchbox was absolutely lovely! The staff are friendly and fun. The view was beautiful. We had real Italian pizza made by a chef that studied in Tuscany, it was delicious! And the wine was delicious too.definitly going back to Matchbox.
