Osaka Sushi Japanese Restaurant

This is our go to Japanese food place. Everything is fresh. What I appreciate is they still give free tea, edamame, fries, and even ice cream at the end.

We came for dinner and I need to share that we had a wonderful experience! Service is outstanding Alexis is a wonderful server but everyone helps everybody. Management/Owner is Wonderful! Food is delicious! If you are in Woodland CA, you need to stop and enjoy the great experience! Very highly recommended!

It amazing I went last night me and my sister where there for almost an hour we had the sushi and udon chicken soup overall taste was amazing the price was great I really recommend coming here but I do wish to be honest it seems to get packed really quickly by the time we left there was a line outside.

The manager is so sweet, kind and very helpful. Someone in our party is gluten free and he explained the menu and told her what she could and couldn’t eat. We felt like family. We will be returning

I don't wanna say bad about this place because the owner is cool and we've been going here for years but I will say that the past 3 times I've gone they have forgotten my miss soup and also forgot like the rice we have ordered

We have taken our older kids to Osaka for sushi on their birthday. The food is amazing! The service is great. We really enjoy dining out here.

I'm still speechless at the situation, ordered a small Chef special sashimi, which specifically said comes with a bowl of rice, and when the food comes and I asked for the rice they told me it does not come with rice and my waiter should've told me when ordering. And made it like they made such exception just to give me the bowl of rice that IT SUPPOSED to come in the first place. The sashimi is also super thin, see pic. And no miso soup either. The softshell crab app was small too (about palm size).

LOL, just don't come here PERIOD.

I wish they would pick up the phone! It is ridiculous, to ask for a callback. Get another person to help! Otherwise, the food is very good.

Tasty food whether you get a roll or anything else.King Kong roll is our favvv. Spicy k is delicious if you like spicy as it has jalapenos. Sake is yummy we had Mango and peach. Waitresses are always pleasant. This is one of our favorite places to eat and only go to for sushi.

I am a long time customer of Osaka’s restaurant and really love their food however I have noticed a recent decline in the following areas with my visit and have noticed these things periodically.If corrected it could be back to great. Disorganized waitress or waiters. Several people come to try to take your order. They should number the tables and give even number tables to those staff and take orders accordingly so that customers are not repeating themselves and it appears disorganized when 3 staff have come to ask if they want drinks or to take orders. I notice the chair I sat on had food so no one attempted to clean seats when opening for dinner. I also was one of first people entering with 3 others at my table. We waited 1 hr for our food. I love the food and appreciate the owners who I know work hard so I would hope they accept constructive criticism. Love you guys.

First and last time eating here.

Ordered the 608 role, supposedly a customer favorite according to the menu. Upon receiving my roll, I noted it was missing the salmon on top that I was most excited for. When I told the waiter it was missing the "topped with sake" noted on the menu, he told me "oh...yeah, sorry about that, the menu is actually wrong."

To which i asked him, "Okay, can I have some salmon to put on top since I was not told the item description was wrong when I ordered it from you?"

He went to check with the sushi chefs and came back to tell me the chefs would not cut any salmon to try to address their mistake.

After he let me know this, I asked, "Can I have some salmon nigiri or sashimi on the side then to make up for it?"

Again, he just told me no.

It felt like he made no attempt to correct the situation, and he didn't even offer to take it off the check. He just walked away and expected us to accept it.

When we told another waitress, she immediately took it off the bill and apologized.

This was the worst customer service experience I've had. Everybody at the table was just looking at each other, dumbfounded.

How an establishment as terrible as this has high ratings is perplexing.

This added to the extremely unpleasant seating arrangement at the front of the restaurant we were already experiencing where we had to ask the staff to please request customers not surround our table while they waited to be seated, with one gentleman actually close enough to touch my arm.

Lastly, the fish itself was not fresh or flavorful. I tried the tuna and salmon, both were dry and tasteless.

Legitimately, the worst restaurant I've had the displeasure of experiencing from the moment we entered to the moment we left.
