Love this place, it is truly a dive bar kind of place but the food is very good and the people are so nice.

If flies bother you, stop and scroll to the next place. If you can generously think of them as part of the atmosphere in this local dive/biker bar, the place is fun and the food is not bad. The burger with hand formed patty and grilled bun is quite good. I probably would enjoy the burger more after dark without the flies. Beer and wine only. No mixed drinks. $20 minimum to use cards as of November 2023.

Locally owned, just a place that you can as they say " a due drop in kind of place". The owner works hard !

I love this place! Petro is the best bartender, chef and server. He's an all-in-one, been-there and done-that kind of guy. The atmosphere and back patio cannot be beat. Plus the history of the place is just so evident in the photographs and posters, the dollar bills pinned up all over the place and the regulars who come in and hang out.Enjoy the ride and stop by Plainfield Station!Vegetarian options: Petro listens to your request for vegetarian food so long as you say it respectfully and clearly.Dietary restrictions: Petro is happy to help if you are friendly and respectful. He listens to your requests and will make good food to your order as his time and skills allow.Parking: Parking is a gravel lot with tons of spots and easy access to the building. Do not smoke anywhere near the building.Kid-friendliness: Petro has booster seats and high chairs. Children are welcome at the tables and out on the patio.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible in most ways but has not been updated in decades, so there may be some less usable areas.

Pitro needs some help there. He's running back and forth between the kitchen and the bar and he's stretched too thin!

This place is just incredible. I live in Oakland but grew up in the country so this place is reminiscent of places I’d used to go to with my parents when I was a kid. It’s a little rustic, one could say it’s even a little dusty… But it’s charming as heck, the staff are super warm and welcoming, and I was honestly surprised at how incredible the food was.If you’re looking for a fine dining or 5 Star hospitality experience, this place is NOT for you.But if you like good food and cheap beer with a laidback, home-line atmosphere, I cannot recommend this place enough. We came in here with a party of about 20 people (including small children) and they took insanely good care of us. We couldn’t have felt more welcome and I’m excited to come back. This little slice of country heaven is precisely what I needed to get out of city life. Cheers!

I came in with a big group of people (7-10). There was no one else there at the time. I found out that the bartender (Pete) was the cook. A few of my friends ordered and I want sure if I wanted anything , so waited to see their orders before ordering mine. A $17.50 burger better be pretty good for the price I would think. After the main food was brought. The bartender asked me why I didn't order before in a condescending way. I thought about it and decided I would cancel before he even started cooking. He responded by saying ''I've got nothing else better to do than make your burger" he then proceeded to cuss and make rude comments while making the food. Burger and fries were actually pretty good. Not a good experience I would not recommend at all.
