We happened to be driving through Woodland about 8 am on our way to the Bay Area one rainy day. We stopped at the Savory Cafe for a delicious breakfast while the traffic died down. It was a pleasant serendipitous surprise.

Reading the reviews I was expecting awesome food. The write up on the menu leads you believe the food is a notch above. Wife ordered the simple two egg breakfast and I order biscuits and gravy. Food came quickly. Both were cold. Her’s was nothing great. Mine was the worst biscuits and gravy I’ve ever had. We didn’t complain because the server didn’t return after delivering the food. Food is not equal to the price. Will not return.

Ate here some time ago. Had jury duty. They seemed to be a reliable and consistent location for a quick bite to eat. Prices were a little high even back then, curious what they are now. Nevertheless, I wouldn’t hesitate to eat here.

Waited 45 minutes for order finally asked they said the computer screwed up food would be right out 30 minutes later was told there were 2 tickets ahead of ours . Our order was 2 items. Have better things to do then spend all morning at savory cafe. Never going back! Manager was rude server was clueless
We went in on a typical Thursday morning. The waitress was really nice and fast to take our orders which were egg Benedict and chicken waffle. We ended up waiting for almost an hour but the food still hadn’t come out. There was no update or check up from the waitress. My husband was pretty frustrated so we left.

The food was wonderful AND Gluten free! Almost wanted to lick the plate! Shared and we both left satisfied. Picture is of only half so portion size was good. Gluten free options were plentiful.

Not only does it feel like your sitting inside of an oven at this restaurant, 2 omelettes took 50 mins (did the wait for the chicken to lay the eggs out back?) and the food is incredibly mid. Probably one of the worst cafes in recent memory.
Had a terrible experience….the cooks were using foul, inappropriate language that all clients could hear. Completely ruined our experience and we will will NOT recommend nor ever return.
