This is such a cool place to stop near Sacramento! Perfect to hit up right after flying in or before flying out. They have free honey tasting, and you wouldn't believe how different honey tastes till you try it! They serve meads, which I didn't try but heard they were delicious. They offer several different flight options. To top it all off they also serve food, from a snack to a whole meal with dessert. There's an outside patio that's absolutely darling to sit and enjoy the weater. I highly recommend stopping by this place!

Very disappointing experience. I've had this place on my list for a few months now. Their food looks amazing and they seemed like a very nice spot, so we decided to drive 35 minutes to check it out. Once we arrived, we were informed that their kitchen staff was sick so no brunch or anything available. I'm all up for a place thay allows sick employees to stay home, but posting about their kitchen not being open on social media takes 5 minutes (or less), it's free and saves people some long drives. Very big oversight on times were everything can be shared instantly. Still, I hope they keep taking care of their employees and maybe, at some other time visit them. TLDR: If you'd like to eat there, call before going.

Sweet, Savory, Herbal, you name it! There is a type of honey for your liking here at this Woodland Honey tasting room and kitchen! It really feels like a small honey museum inside with so many different types of honey to try and taste. They even have an option to take you on a private honey tasting tour, and I promise you, you will be surprised what they have in store for you. There were so many options to choose from, and many combinations you would not even know they made, unless of course you are an expert! We ended up enjoying the Hawaiian Creamy Lehua & Northwestern Meadowfoam honeys the most, and we also complimented how distinct the coriander honey was compared to the others. They seem to take deep consideration in our thoughts of their honeys, because at the end of your tour they will give you a personal 3 pack of the three honeys we mentioned! There were so many goodies for sale there, and each honey of course! What another pleasant surprise for us was their kitchen! They have a delicious, seasonal rotating brunch menu on Saturday only that we were able to try, and it did not disappoint! Their breakfast tacos were super delicious, and they have several different options of protein to choose from. It comes with some yummy micro greens, and creamy salsa that has a chipotle taste to it. Their chicken and waffles were BOMB! I love how they cut the waffle up into little sticks, it was so easy to share, and eat! We were able to eat outside, and even though it was a rainy day that day, they had a nice covering with heaters to keep you warm and dry during the cold days! Our lovely friend we made there mentioned that during the sunny and warm days they have a lot more outdoor seating available and even hosts bands on some nights! Last but not least, we had a chance to try their mead flight they had to offer, with 4 lovely meads! The meads we tried were from either Washington or California, however they rotate through meads so who knows where else they get it from. This was our first time trying mead, and we were so lucky to do so. They were all outstanding! Of course we will come back to try new mead, and listen to some lovely music!

Ended up here for lunch today. From the moment you walk in, you feel extremely welcomed. There's everything honey you could want, and a restaurant too! I ordered the Stuffed Shrooms Burger, and OMG! From the delicious side salad (with fresh bee pollen) to the bun, this was a delicious meal! Tons of flavor and the combo of the cheeses was perfect! I also got my wife a piece of "Ukrainian Honey Cake" and she said it's the best she's ever had. The fresh honey taste is just right! Great job to The HIVE!Dietary restrictions: The Stuffed Shroom Burger was vegan, and I noticed that there were a lot of GF options on the menu.

The Saturday brunch is overall not worth it. We ordered the Brunch Board ($26) and the Breakfast Tacos ($15). First off, the waffles are a big part of their menu. We arrived at 11 am and they were OUT of waffles! They said their brunch board would still include waffles sticks but we were given French toast sticks instead. The house potatoes came out cold and we're soft as if they had been microwaved. The seasonal fruit had mold on it. The Brussels sprouts were soggy but had a good taste. The breakfast tacos came without salsa and the Corn tortillas were soft as if they had come straight out of the packaging. Maybe they were microwaved but they were cold when they arrived to the the table. We had come because of the viral videos we saw online, but the food was VERY UNDERWHELMING. Not worth the drive from Sacramento.
