It had been a while since I last was here, and the atmosphere on this particular day was sad. A small group of friends met to have a beverage in honor of a wonderful person who passed away the night before and was a bartender at Thirsty Goat.
Full of the best people you'll ever meet.
Great place, especially to play pool. There is this guy Drew who plays pool there a lot - he is a special treat!
Free pool Thursday
I attend Karaoke at the Thirsty Goat on Wednesday nights. It's great for a mid-week break if you want to cut loose. The song selection is varied playing anything from Garth Brooks to Chappell Roan. The customers are diverse and co-exist peacefully, which is somewhat rare in more popular Karaoke spots. I would know because I've attended most in the greater Sacramento and delta areas. I don't guarantee that every singer will be the next seasons of America's Got Talent but they'll definitely be the type to not bat an eye if you can't sing or miss a note. What more could you want from a Karaoke joint? 🎤 The KJ is reliable and knowledgeable, and the speakers are great. Drinks are well mixed and service is generally prompt. Two pool tables, they are usually booked if you don't arrive early, but that's a excellent opportunity to attend their "Happy Hour." I would suggest it to Karaoke enthusiasts that prefer the cathartic release that singing brings, rather than prioritizing validation of their performance. Put simply, REAL Karaoke fans will appreciate this spot. 👌 💯
There is a wheelchair ramp in the back of the establishment, so don't be put off by the steep stairs, just park accordingly.

The music is pretty much the only thing this place has going. Bartender Andy is a complete jerk and cannot even get White Claw flavor correct! Super rude and very immature. I had about twenty friends with me and was having a great time until I had to deal with that entitled Karen! AKA ANDY! Me and my friends will not be going back there! Oh, and what kind of place doesn't take credit cards? Get with the times people! Guess they barely can count cash since they don't know how to read a White Claw label!

The Goat has a great atmosphere whether you stop in for happy hour or for a night with a DJ, you'll enjoy your time. It also has most amazing owners that take pride in their establishment, making it welcoming and affordable. It was one of my favorite places to not only work but also have fun dancing and drinking.
Really friendly staff! Ashley and Andy are phenomenal!

Ashley, Ruffino, Betsy, Andy and Angel are great bartenders and exceptional people in general! Being new to this town, I needed a safe place to hang out and play pool and I found it here! To all the other staff that I forgot to name- forgive me- you are appreciated too!

Some of the best bartenders and management. Ashley is always fun to be around and a great manager! Andy makes amazing specialty drinks. If your local or just traveling through town it's a nice stop and centrally located.Plenty of stores and food near by. As well as other great establishments to enjoy drinks along the way.Plenty of small business as well that you can explore in Downtown Woodland.

Good music and cute gals. Leave your pocket knives at home.
I had a great time for my bday
Other than a really annoying local who was obsessed with the pool table and was overly testy shall we say, true hometown dive bar.
