Food was excellent but unfortunately I can only give this location 2 stars due to a discrepancy in what they actually serve in the restaurant vs what they have on the menu. I have dined at multiple black bear diner locations previously and each time I was able to get sweet tea. I had a sweet tea craving today so decided to go to the woodland black bear. Thankfully when arriving at the restaurant I found “bottomless sweet tea” listed on the menu so that’s what I requested. The waitress advised me they in fact do not have sweet tea, but rather they have a raspberry tea which I have zero interest in drinking. To make the situation worse, the only drink I wanted other than sweet tea was apple juice which cost me roughly $2 more and was not bottom less. Guess now I know I need to stick to Cracker Barrel when trying to get sweet tea to drink with my breakfast

Always great service and friendly staff. Overall the food is delicious and the new banana Nutella pancakes are heavenly. They always create such a safe and welcoming environment. Highly recommend taking your family to dine in.

My daughter and I went to this restaurant on our way to a doctor's appointment in davis. We were traveling from Redding. I wanted a chili cheese omelette and noticed it was not on the menu but they did have a build your own omelette. I asked the waiter if they could substitute the meat for chili and he said he would check for me. He asked me if I wanted a two egg or three egg omelette and I said two eggs. The next time I saw the waiter he was bringing our food and I got a chili omelette. It was good and my daughter's food was good. I was surprised when I got the bill when they charged me for the three egg omelette and also $8.99 for chili. That brought the cost of my omelette to $25 which I felt was outrageous. Because we were on our way to an appointment I8-1 did not want to question the bill so I just paid it. But I will never return to this location again.
Came here for the $11.99 steak and egg special. Delicous! Great deal for a huge plate of food!

We are traveling for christmas, we pulled in to try to grab a quick bite on the road and waited for 20 minutes before the sever even came to the table ( the diner was NOT busy), then we waited atleast an hour before finally leaving without even being served the salads that went with our Dinner . On top of that I watched a waiter in the kitchen scratch his head and touch food that he was plating . I have been to black bear before in Shasta and it was great. This was an utter disappointment

So I gave 2 stars because Iv been to 2 other black bears that were great. THIS IS NOT ONEThis diner does not serve Caucasian people only Hispanics. We waited over 1.5hrs for breakfast. And never received anything other than 1 refill on coffee. We ended up walking out with no food there was only 3 people in the diner when we got there!! 5 Hispanic families came after and received there orders very fast.The last straw was watching the younger SERVER scratch his head (long hair) and then grab toast off a plate and put it on another order plate then put his finger in someone egg. At this moment we left
