i love this bakery. we've had them do my daughters birthday cake twice and they have never disappointed. they absolutely take your idea and make it better than you could've ever imagined. her first birthday theme was her favorite song "a rainbow connection", they completely knocked its out of the park creating a vision from a song. AND, they actually taste delicious! worth every penny.

The best pastry in the area, hands down, inclusive of neighboring Davis. Creative, seasonal and imaginative scones, cookies, cupcakes, macarons, pastry, tarts, biscuits, cakes, pies and croissants. They have such a broad and changing offering, this list doesn't do them justice. They even do special order vegan treats. I am not sure if they plan to continue into 2022 but if not, they are extraordinary and will make people very happy with their offerings wherever they go. I do hope they stay close (or come to Davis!).

The cake, frosting and filling were absolutely AMAZING!!! I ordered a my little pony cake for my daughter’s birthday and it was absolutely delicious! I am so glad I gave them creative freedom to do whatever they wanted because it came out perfect! Thank you again so much Zest West Bakery! We will definitely be repeat customers

I arrived 2 minutes after opening on a Saturday morning. I saw someone walk in right before me, so despite the sign not being turned to 'open', I went in. They were still putting out the pastries, so to give them a minute, a freshened up in the bathroom. From there on out- disaster. The girl who helped me had no idea what was in the salads or the spices they used on their special carrots, nor did she offer to find out. I ordered some pastries and she grabbed the wrong one and said "she just got here" when I corrected the mistake. The credit/debit machine wasn't booted yet, and she told me there was a fee to use it. I asked how much, and she said a small percentage, maybe 5-10%. I asked if she could find out, b/c to me, 10% is a decent tip for a simple grab some pastries order, and I'd rather pay cash if the fee was that high, but no offer to find out the true fee, tho there were 3 other people working behind her. All with a saccharine voice. Finally, did NOT enjoy the pastries! Scones had the baking powder taste, and other than a drizzle glaze, tasted the same. Muffins were over mixed and tough. Don't waste your calories. Btw, this is the first review I have ever done, and I waited 24 hours to do it to make sure I wasn't just heated from the exchange. But after trying the food, I felt compelled to share, and share that it's a hard pass.

Erin did an incredible job on our Groom's cake for our wedding. I sent her an idea and she went above and beyond. My husband is obsessed with his hobby-truck, and she created a cake with his favorite flavor and with the truck on top. I am so impressed and he loved it!

Fabulous!!! I made my first visit to Zest Fresh Pastrytoday. I came away with three things: a "cinnamon roll bread pudding" that looks like a cupcake, a quinoa lunch salad with all kinds of veggies and goodies in it, and a berry scone. Every single one of them was fresh, delicious, five star quality! The space is welcoming, small and well lit. Staff was warm and really aimed to please. I enjoyed it, I will be back!!!
