I've had better service at a truck stop Waffle House at 3 am. Servers are rude and unprofessional. Forget orders, blame it on the cooks, food is nothing to write home about. This place only stays in business because of a lack of options in town. Rick's has a better breakfast and superior service. The yoddler across the street has better dinner and the staff is incredible. Don't waste your time at the evergreen.

Great ambiance. The service and the food were fantastic. Price wasn't terrible. If you're ever in Wrightwood it's a great stop for breakfast or lunch!

Delicious food, friendly staff, great ambiance inside. It feels like one of the small diners you would see in a movie. Always pleased when I frequent The Evergreen Cafe. Highly recommend!

Staff wasn't welcoming. My food was cold. Didn't even get my flapjacks we asked 2 times she still forgot so we just left. If you're here visiting best breakfast place is Grizzly Cafe. Amazing food and staff.

So we were on our way home from Tehachapi and decided to stop in Wrightwood. Such a cute little town. Of course I had to pull up YELP to see where we could grab a bite to eat. With both wanted breakfast and the Evergreen Cafe stood out first. Let start with the ambiance. It was the cutest little cafe. It only has maybe 5 booths, maybe 3 table and a counter. On site restrooms for customer only. From the pictures you can see it was decorated and super cozy. When we walked in the door we were immediately greeted by Andie. She was friendly and invited us in and told us to take a seat wherever we wanted. (I think we missed the breakfast rush so we were the only ones in there at that particular time.). Me and the Mr grabbed a booth and perused the menu. The hubby had the 2 egg breakfast with sausage, hash browns, and biscuits and gravy. I opted for the short stack and a side of bacon. Food arrived very quickly. My hubby enjoyed his biscuits and gravy and the pancakes were delicious. Very big and filling. Also everything was served hot. My only side note would be next time to get the hash browns well done so that they could have a little crispness to them. Andie gave us impeccable service. I would so come back to this little spot for the food and the service.

the cutest little breakfast joint! this was me and my family's first time in big bear so we weren't familiar with the area. we walked around the town and saw this food place. as soon as we came in we were greeted by the biggest sweetheart. there were only two servers and they did a great job! i ordered the french toast with eggs and sausage. it tasted sooo amazing! i also got a strawberry lemonade, wasn't too big of a fan of it but still pretty good. the inside has about four booths, three tables and a countertop. it was filled with christmas and valentines decorations, it felt so cozy. me and my family absolutely loved this spot and i give this an 11/10 for service + food!

This review is strictly based on greeting and initial service. We couldn't rate the food because we didn't feel welcome and didn't stay enough to try it... Our first visit to Wrightwood and we called ahead to see what the wait-time was for a party of 6. We were looking forward to grab a bite at a cute local spot in the village. We were told there was no wait, so we headed over from around the corner and got there in 5 minutes. When we arrived, we were told it'd be 10-15 minutes, as the group at the table being gestured was finishing up. Fine; no problem. We put our name down. We walked around the neighboring shops and 10 minutes later, we popped our heads back in. The previous group was gone and the table was not cleaned. A smaller group who came in after us was also sat. Fine. We waited another 5+ minutes and took pictures outside. We peeked in again. Table still wasn't bussed. Two male-staffers were talking towards the back. When we inquired again about the table and wait, the female waitress barked, "I'm here alone today!" WOW. Bye, Felicia. I've been a server before. You don't take your feelings of frustration or being overwhelmed out on the customers. It's simple: "Sorry; we're short-staffed today. We'll be with you as soon as we can." That's all it takes. We would've stuck around. I'm sure our $200+ tab and $45-tip that we spent at the next cafe would've made the grumpy waitress' day a lot better. We know why you were alone that day, Flo. No customer wants to stick around for your attitude. Evergreen... Green means go, as in, go past this place. Get over to Grizzly Cafe instead.
