stumbled across this place, and the whole ghost town. but, we had a great time. simple, entertaining place. had a couple cold beers and a hot dog and enjoyed the scenery. good stop between vegas and LA! $8 bucks to get in per person was kinda steep but when we got in it was a fair price. we enjoyed the saloon and town!
We only ordered the Boysenberry float. The atmosphere is fun with portraits of cowboys (including Powers Booth as Curly Bill) and bat wing doors! I don't believe bat wing doors were actually typical in the old west, but still. The float was good and a lovely nod to Knotts who restored Calico. The issue was that nobody was there. We waited around for ten minutes alone on the saloon. Eventually we reached out to one of the stores who tracked down the bartender. He was nice...
No joke, this place was the reason why we stumbled across calico ghost town. We came in for a beer, but decided to have wings and pizza. Monique was great, she was helpful and friendly and let us sample some of the beers before we made a choice. Now the food. Literally, this is some of the best pizza and wings I've ever had.
