Outstanding sushi. Hand grated Wasabi! A friend brought me here and I can't wait to return. It's a bit expensive, but worth every penny.

Best Japanese restaurant in Yorba Linda. Our family has been coming here for 22 years. Food is consistently good. It is family owned quality place. I highly recommend it. It is better to make reservations ahead.

Good authentic Japanese cuisine in Yorba Linda. Seafood selection is limited so we go for other menu items which are better. Recommend if you are in the area looking for Japanese cuisine not sushi.

Not recommended. Bad customer service. Maybe they need to hire more people so they can serve people better. Will never come back there again.

Seems like they are still not allowing very many customers to eat at a time. Went a couple of times and they had no more room and you need to make reservations but the restaurant was not even half full. ???

Went to restaurant. Heard it was good. Open at 5 got there at 5:15. The place was empty. We couldn't get a table. Crazy. The lady was not friendly about not having room in an empty restaurant. Will not go back!!! Want to Isai and was taken care of like professionals. They run a great sushi business. We will be returning!!!
"I literally order sushi, watch 'Law & Order,' and go to sleep at 9 o'clock every night. I'm a grandmother." -- Bella Hadid I know the feeling Bella ;-) This place is an excellent mom and pop Japanese restaurant with a surprisingly good saki list. The corkage fee was reasonable too. It was either $15 or $20. We had a variety of apps and sushi and I would definitely return again. You cannot go wrong here. Order your favorites. Highly recommended.

We love the food and the service at Maguroya. They are very welcoming and friendly. The food is delicious and a great value for what you get. There are always fresh flowers on the table which I love. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant.

I've eaten at Nobu and other top notch sushi restaurants, however, The food here is top notch!! I will not eat at any other sushi restaurant!! Food is definitely quality and not quantity. Kaz and his team are super friendly and kind!!!! Love them

This is our go-to must-have-once-a-week sushi spot. Kaz-San is the owner (for over 20 years) and sushi chef. He hand selects his fish and has some rare ones imported from Japan. The fish is fresh every time, perfectly cut, flavorful, and served authentic Japanese style. You won't find fancy gimmicky-named rolls here. The beef sukiyaki is so delicious that you'll want a second bowl of rice just to sop up the rest of the sauce. And of course, if you don't prefer beef or seafood, the chicken teriyaki and sesame chicken are great options. The combination plates will satisfy any craving combos you may have. Please make reservations, even on a weeknight. Since Maguroya is about quality not quantity, Kaz-San wants to make sure he is able to take care of his customers personally as opposed to merely throwing food on a plate for you to scarf down without enjoying the flavors and delicacies. If you're in a hurry and just want to grab a quick bite, this is not the place. Enjoy! Thank me later!
The absolutely best authentic Japanese and sushi restaurant in the city.
