Delicious food and excellent service! Was a wonderful experience! A must do if staying in the park!
We enjoyed the hotel and hotel grounds. Long wait in the bar and dinner was served just warm after a bit of a wait.
The hotel dining room is always a lovely place to have a fabulous meal. Excellent service, good food and such a beautiful setting! It is well worth treating yourself to dining there at least once in your life!
A Sunday lunch at the Ahwahnee Hotel Dining Room is truly a wonderful experience. The food, service, personal were all above board. The cleanliness of the facility and Dining Room was outstanding. The piano player was excellent. We took some friends that had never visited the Yosemite National Park and they were very impressed and happy to have made the trip for his wife's birthday present.
Monica made our first visit to the Ahwahnee and Yosemite such a wonderful experience. The ambiance was incredible—the piano music, beautiful views, and sunbeams streaming through created a perfect atmosphere. The brunch was delicious, with the prime rib and ham being especially good, and the gravy was outstanding!
Best service I've gotten in a long time - Alec and David were both fantastic servers along with the entire team, including everyone at the check in stand. The room is gorgeous, the piano enhances everything and the food is delicious and with great presentations
My wife and I came here for lunch yesterday and had the soup of the day, which was a tomato basil bisque, the chilled noodles, the shrimp cocktail, and the short rib melt I think it was.
Little bit pricey, but the food was pretty good
Day pass parking for the valet ONLY is $10.

The entire establishment is run by a terrible company they need to change vendors. This hotel is a National Treasure and it's a real pity how bad things are there.

Myself and my husband recently visited the Ahwahnee to eat lunch in the dining room, however it was already closed by the time we arrived. We instead opted to grab lunch at the bar, which was still open. Our server was great, a young woman with long black hair. The food was acceptable. However, one of the employees, a man named Tim, was horrific. We couldn’t find our server so we tried to flag him down for some water since he was stood near one of the computers, not doing anything. He attempted to pretend he didn’t hear us, until we finally loudly said “EXCUSE ME”. He finally came over then, and told us that our server would bring us water. We told him that we couldn’t see her and asked again, to which he begrudgingly brought over a pitcher to fill our waters. He then returned to the computer to loudly complain about “entitled guests” to another server. When our server did return we asked for his name and she apologized for his behavior, which she shouldn’t have to do as it wasn’t her fault for his poor attitude. She is the only reason for this review being anything more than 1 star. For a place as nice (and expensive) as the Ahwahnee I am SHOCKED they would allow such behavior from their staff.

Employees are awesome, venue & location = priceless. Food is classic NP food - Sysco, Average at best. Nobody is coming to Yosemite for food. However, when your Ahwahnee hotel room is $800 a night - you'd think someone in management would say let's up our game in the food department & our customers will also spend $ in our bar/restaurants!?!?

We stopped in for a light dinner. The atmosphere is great. We ordered two glasses of wine a charcuterie board and meatballs. We were seated at the table right at the corner end of the bar near the door and the wait station. This detail is important to the rest of the story. Our waiter was Tim. Tim was either preoccupied with other matters or he is the worst waiter we have met in a long time. He had a special skill that he could walk about the room and not making eye contact with any of his tables, including us. Here are some of the “Tim” highlights (1) our wine was put at the end of the bar and sat there for over 10 minutes until Tim got to it, he was too busy chatting with the waitress at the weight station. (2) a few minutes later the kitchen brought out the.charcuterie board -as soon as they walked away, Tim stopped and asked how things were going, we said fine, assuming that the meatballs were still on their way (3) about 45 minutes in we finished the water, food and wine -we kept trying to make eye contact with our waiter, but he is a master of looking straight ahead and not at the clients (4) The bus boy, was gracious enough to fill our waters, upon our request. (5) we eventually gave up on the meatballs, and I called out Tim’s name to get his attention. (6) the meatballs were not on the bill, therefore he simply forgot to put in for it… Since he went directly from our table to the weight station approximately 10 feet away it is surprising that he forgot one of the three items that we ordered! (7) Tim only had 4-5 occupied tables while we were there, he ignored everyone after his initial check in with them. ….. ok, yes, he probably would have responded if we called for him, but that would have been rude.

Great meal in a fantastic setting! It was a great cap to our time in Yosemite! Highly recommend!
Overall we felt it a bit pricey for the quality of the food. True there's a premium for being in Yosemite, but to me the prime rib was the best Buffett item. It was above average. The tri-tip was chewy and rare. The zucchini way over steamed and too mushy , the salmon was over cooked and dry. The dessert small and nothing special. The service & ambience was very nice. Besides dinner we also had the breakfast Buffett, which was again was low quality food. Seemed like it was all made days before and just reheated. We'll eat elsewhere for the remainder of our stay.
We went to the restaurant. There was no dress code, and some people were wearing beach sandals and shorts. There were children running around in the restaurant. They only served buffet-style meals, so we didn't get to enjoy a nice meal.
