Great meal in a fantastic setting! It was a great cap to our time in Yosemite! Highly recommend!
Overall we felt it a bit pricey for the quality of the food. True there's a premium for being in Yosemite, but to me the prime rib was the best Buffett item. It was above average. The tri-tip was chewy and rare. The zucchini way over steamed and too mushy , the salmon was over cooked and dry. The dessert small and nothing special. The service & ambience was very nice. Besides dinner we also had the breakfast Buffett, which was again was low quality food. Seemed like it was all made days before and just reheated. We'll eat elsewhere for the remainder of our stay.
We went to the restaurant. There was no dress code, and some people were wearing beach sandals and shorts. There were children running around in the restaurant. They only served buffet-style meals, so we didn't get to enjoy a nice meal.
Way too expensive for what we got. A buffet with average food should not cost more than $60 per person
63 dollars per people for cold food. in their website they say you NEED to dress well yet they can't even reinforce it with their own staff. They make u wait for EVERYTHING to try to look expensive. only good thing was the guy playing the piano.
Beautiful - Historical - Attentive The Ahwahnee is an amazing dining experience, but you pay for it. The food and service was spectacular, however if you are into views of nature, architecture and history, that will blow you away. I ate breakfast there, cheapest meal of the day plus no dress code requirement, I dressed in my best shirt and shorts I had packed, I was dressed similar to most others. (Dress code for dinner) We had to choose the buffet. There was a good amount of selection on the buffet, but I've typically seen more selection, still what they did have was everything you would want and top shelf. If I get the chance to go to Yosemite again, I am going back to the Ahwahnee, maybe I'll bring clothes for the evening and plenty of cash.
Overall poor food quality. $60 for buffet food and it's the quality of a low in Vegas buffet
The Ahwahnee is a special place the staff does an outstanding job despite the challenges with construction and location in a national park.
Why have a dress code if its not enforced or questioned. We followed the recommendation from the restaurant website and dressed appropriately. They don't even question the people that are not even close to their own guidelines. Come in shorts bathing suit flip flops where any thing you want. They don't care. If your looking for an upscale experience this isn't the place. It's unfortunate as the building and venue deserve a better clientele.
Stopped for a hot chocolate! Cosy my pricey ☕️ would love to see more vegan options

Food was overpriced and unsatisfying. The jumbo shrimp cocktail cost $24 and it consist of 6 pieces of standard size shrimp laid flat on a plate with a small side dish of cocktail sauce. The $29 short rib melt sandwich was soggy and salty. Only decent thing were their kettle chips. Adult coffee was mediocre.
Parking: Required to do valet parking for $15. The restaurant bar doesn’t validate.

They are not serving food at the bar at this time. Debby was a fun server. She'll get what you need. They should really consider opening at 3:00pm. People arrive early before check in, so it would be nice if they could grab a drink while they wait for their room.

The dining room is spectacular. Unfortunately, the dinner offered was only buffet. Like all buffets for large groups, it was institutional. Average food. But nowhere near what you expect from the Ahwahnee, and certainly not for the price
Outstanding food, service, and ambience. Upscale fine dining. Buffet service allowed us to try everything that would normally be on their menu rather than choosing just one selection.
The ambiance is great . Rustic hunting lodge with large windows that puts the diner right in the center of Yosemite's beauty. The entire food experience though was subpar. The Buffet offerings were all lukewarm to room temperature . The barley soup looked like sludge. The dinner rolls were on the way to being stale and the desserts were already there. I ordered a Manhattan which was very good a, but not included in price. The staff were efficient and friendly. All in all, I would not recommend this place. Way overpriced Go see the beautiful hotel and then go out to another restaurant . You'll be certain to get a better meal at a much cheaper price.
