Casa Ramos in Yreka is hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve ever visited. The food is fresh, authentic, and full of flavor — every dish tastes like it was made with care and pride. From the first bite, you can tell this is more than just a restaurant; it’s a place where family recipes and tradition shine through.
What really sets Casa Ramos apart, though, is the people. Owner Carlos Rendon and his team go above and beyond to make every guest feel welcome. The service is outstanding — warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. You can tell they care deeply about both the food they serve and the experience their customers have.
If you’re in Yreka (or even just passing through), do yourself a favor and stop in. Casa Ramos is the real deal, and I can’t recommend it highly enough.

What an amazing meal and party we had in the separate dining room at Casa Ramos Yreka. Everything from the chips and three salsas, guacamole, queso chorizo dip, sangria and margaritas was outstanding. I had the Three Amigo's, which included tender and succulent chile verde, chili colorado and Chili Relleno. We loved that you could choose between whole black, pinto or refried beans and traditional Mexican rice or vegan cilantro rice. They even had burgers for the youngster in our group. I can't wait to go back and try the desserts. A great place for a party where there is something for everyone! We got to try lots of different things and everything was top notch!

Food was alright, but the service was bad. The staff was constantly yelling to each other across the restaurant. They messed up our order and took a long time to refill the chips. I also noticed they didn't clean the tables between customers

The restaurant seemed unprepared for the volume of customers this evening. Long wait once the order was placed. The waitress wasn't very attentive but it was clear the staff was overwhelmed as the tables filled up. The good news was how delicious the food was.

We ordered to go after hubby watched some sports at the bar. He had a few beers and noticed a lot of locals there enjoying the atmosphere and watching the game. He brought the food back to our hotel and we were both very satisfied. He had a chicken burrito and cheese enchilada combo, I had the delicious tortilla soup. He was pleased at the healthy portion of chicken in his simple burrito and said the refried beans were great. We were confused at first but finally realized they separated the broth from the other contents of my soup - what a nice touch! Rather than a massive tub with soggy chips I poured the hot broth over the deep box of goodies and got to enjoy my soup as freshly ladled as if I was sitting at a table in the restaurant. We got extra chips and salsa to add also and I dropped extra chips into mine and finished every last drop. I really appreciated how they packaged it for takeout and it was a solid dinner item for me on its own. He didn’t eat much of his rice but enjoyed and filled up enough with his food also. The soup alone will make it worth stopping here on our regular trips up and down the western states - so good!!! Nice to know Yreka has a sit-down restaurant that attracts the locals too. We’ll be back!
