Definitely felt like a locals only place. We walked over from the hotel across the street. First bartender was nice but was going off duty so asked us to settle up after one drink. Second bartender was rude.

The photo on Yelp was enticing, but that drink wasn't available. Instead we ordered margaritas which were very good. The space is really nice. Our (lady) bartender was great and was a good conversationalist!

I've been in here three times. All three times it took me over an hour to get my drink.The bartender spends her entire time with her brother in law and his friends. There is a click there and if your not a regular you can't get any service.It's only opened a few days a week I'm assuming because the service is so bad.I don't recommend this place to anyone.

Years Ago, The Rex had a Great Dining Room, but the Present Owners removed It, having just Cocktails, Now. They are making a Big Deal, about Horizontal vs. Vertical DMV Photo-ID's Now, for Some Reason. If You want a Cool One, in Yreka, the Rex might be worth a Stop !

Used to stop in like every month pre-COVID, but since the outbreak this place is closed. And should be -- the owners are intelligent, caring people who recognize that laws are usually passed to benefit the public (whether they like it or not), and not arbitrarily to "control" people. I really hope that they reopen later this year when circumstances permit -- I will be there and spending my money gladly.
