We arrived on a Friday before 5 and there was no waiting. The dinner plate with one item was sufficient for my husband. I ordered the dinner plate with two items and we shared my choices. Between us, we enjoyed the lemon chicken, kung pao shrimp, and sweet & sour pork. The food care HOT (not necessarily spicy) and it is nice to have a HOT meal, not room temperature. We also ordered hot tea. We could have asked for water as it was not automatically delivered. The tea was not refilled. Once the order was taken and delivered, we did not see our waitress/hostess until the bill arrived. By the time we left at 5:45 pm, there was a line out the door.

The orange chicken the fried rice and the chow mein is probably one of the best that I’ve had in a long time. Orange chicken is really good and fluffy and fried and then they throw it in the sauce. It’s crazy good and then leftovers the next day even better.

My Grandparents ate here when it first opened, like 1971. I loved the food then. My parents, my husband and I ate here tonight. I am so happy bc the food has not changed. We had the dinner for 4. We have enough leftovers for another dinner for 4. I took the picture from 2 angles.

I picked up a 2 item combo: kung pao shrimp with shrimp chow mein and veg egg fu young and white rice. It was all crammed in one box. the shrimp chow mein is simply noodles with four cold shrimp (not deveined) placed on top. I should have gone to panda. It would have been 4x as good and costed half as much. I should’ve known when I walked in on a Saturday at 7 and the restaurant was empty. I’d have called to attempt to get a refund but I think I’ll end the disappointment here. Obviously no pride in their product. Save yourself and just don’t. I can’t understand any of the positive reviews. Ps I’d never written a review in my life before this.

They refused to sell me soup to go. It was all I wanted, even though I had a $70 order for everyone else. The front server refused, so I did not get to experience any of the food.

Had to seat ourselves. 20 mins later and no service. There was only 2 tables occupied. We got up and left. Also a terrible smell.

It was actually almost scary! The waitress is very short-fused. The drinks were not made right... Too much carbonation in the sodas, and something was wrong with the ice tea. My mom couldn't even chew her sweet and sour pork. The breading was too hard. The rice was cold. The "chow mein" was noodles... Not chow mein. I really thought the waitress was going to give my mom a heart attack. The waitress was very aggressive. We could hear her in the kitchen yelling and screaming after my mom complained. It was the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant!!!
We can't even put a star on this review. As this was a recommended restaurant by 3 fine as wine ladies as to what they remembered, one visiting from out of town. Very short fused waitress, irate and rude to say the least. The drinks tasted like chemical and medicine. And the food was nothing expected, lots of bread and little meat in the sweet and sour. It was just an overall not return again experience. Learn some business etiquette, customer comes first!

Delicious, freshly made, piping hot Chinese food. The prices and customer service are much better than at other Chinese food places in the Yuba-Sutter area. I would definitely return and highly recommend Lee's Canton Restaurant.
