I didn't eat there but I did stop by and buy an apple pie đ„§ and it tastes great. A bit pricey but hey everything's gone up. Here's the apple pie after I got it home, sorry I couldn't wait.
Talk about a menu, they have it all, and desert it will knock your socks off
They don't have gluten free available unless you call ahead and order. That stinks since I never plan ahead to go up here. For the ones I know that can eat Gluten, they say the pies are average not worth the change.
I'm from No CA visiting family in the desert. I got a taste of this restaurant's Mile High apple pie while at my niece's. Wow, it is amazingly delicious! I have never had an apple pie this good anywhere else. I will definitely be visiting this restaurant next time I'm in the area!
It is very high in cost and we got the apple crumble pie to go and it didn't look like pie when we opened the box it was just a pile of mess.
The bakery was great. The young lady who helped us was very informative and kind, the puff pastry was delicious.
The restaurant experience was very unpleasant. We attended their 8-11 breakfast buffet, after we were sat at our table the old lady didnât bother saying anything to us and didnât service our table. Everyone else around us were seated, served their drinks and silverware immediately. We had to flag down a waitress who started helping tables who got their AFTER us, even though we had already served ourselves and still had no cutlery or drinks. We didnât get our drinks till after 20 minutes of being there. We tried flagging down the waitress for refills and we were ignored. When we asked for napkins we were told âitâs going to be a whileâ ???? We had to ask for our check 4 times!!! Which was mind boggling as they carry their machines in their back pocket!!! Their waitresses kept servicing the same tables and were very unprofessional. The buffet was very unorganized. $26? Not worth it.
Having worked and managed very busy restaurants; this was not the way.

My review is for the bakery. I've been here twice this month.
The bakery is attached to the restaurant and there's a separate door you can enter to order. The vibe is a small town feel, rustic, and family oriented.
The first time I was here around 9:00am (no line) and ordered an Old Fashioned Apple Pie ($24.85) and some brownies with walnuts. The person helping me seemed rushed and wasn't too friendly when I asked a couple questions and told her it was my first time here. My total came out to $34.70. The pie was good, but I was expecting it to be better. The edges of the crust were burnt, but other than that we enjoyed it. The brownies were also good.
The following weekend, I came here with my mom. This time we got friendly customer service and ordered a whole French Crumb Apple pie ($24.85) and a giant cookie for my husband. My total came out to $35.97.
I gave some slices of pie for my mom to take home. The pie this time around was not good. The slices of apple inside were large and hard, the crust was super dry and the pie overall was not flavorful. I followed up with my mom to see how she liked it and unfortunately her feedback was it was very dry as well. She said she still had an apple pie craving and went to Marie Callender's for one. There were still about two slices left and neither my husband nor I wanted to eat anymore of it so had to toss it. I'm not sure what happened with this pie, but it was a flop. The giant cookie was pretty good.

My experience with Apple Annie's was brief and unpleasant. My boyfriend and I stopped there after picking apples to get something to eat. First, we checked in the bakery section with the pies. It was PACKED. There was just enough room for us to squeeze into the line, so my boyfriend opened the door, slowly, because there was a woman standing in the way, and almost immediately the woman working behind the counter yelled for us to close the door. There were no plant based options, the line was not moving at all, and getting yelled at instead of greeted or even ignored made things awkward, so we moved on to the restaurant. There was no line outside the door. There is writing on the floor that says to wait there to be seated. Right by the door, there are menus, I picked one up to see if there were plant based options, so that if there wasn't, we wouldn't need to waste time waiting in line and we didn't need to waste anyone else's time, either. Before I could read a word on the menu, I was snapped at by either the host or a server, I presume. She said something along the lines of, "It says wait here outside the door. That's where you're going to wait until someone says otherwise." I quickly asked if there were plant based options, she told me no, and we left.
A little kindness goes a long way, and the way we were treated (plus the lack of plant based options) did not make me want to support that business the way I had wanted to walking up the hill to the establishment.
I presume the fact that I have purple hair put a bad taste in some people's mouths, as I got a very conservative and perhaps right leaning environmental feel, and a lot of people judge books by their covers.
My boyfriend and I were polite, quiet, and hopeful to make purchases. I felt disheartened after leaving because of how rudely we were treated.
From a caring place, because I have fond childhood memories of Oak Glen, I suggest staff come to an agreement to be kind to potential customers, or at the very lease not to be rude to them, and to add even 1 plant based option to your menus. If it's good, I promise a lot of people would pay for it.

Went on a Saturday morning, and they had a buffet, which made things go faster. There was a nice selection of food, but if you wanted bacon, you had to move fast because people were piling in up on their plates. All of the staff moved quickly to make sure you had what you wanted and to keep things stocked.

It was a nice all day. Temperature was about 78,80°. We asked if we could sit on the patio, they says no, they're not serving on the patio. We asked if we could get a piece of apple pie four of us and ice cream. They said no. This is about the fourth time and 2 or 3 years. I've went up there or I have just been so frustrated with the service that I always swore I'll never go back.

30 minutes to be seated, 15 minutes before someone took our order, 60 minutes waiting for our order. All we got was a fried chicken entree and house salad, both waaaay overpriced for quality, quantity, and the service received. Ended up with house salad because they ran out of fish, ended up with water because they ran out of apple cider. Staff never checked on us. People next to us got pie and ice cream, but no utensils even after asking for them. We gave them ours since we had to wait an hour for our food anyways. How this place stays in business is beyond me, but I suspect they rely on tourism and others who come once and never again.

I liked my server, but almost nothing else was good.
The good: I was sat pretty promptly, and ordered pretty promptly, and my $21 fried chicken came out in a reasonable time and seemed quite good! They either use a sweet brine or some sweetness in the breading so if you donât like that donât order it.
Less good from there: The side of vegetables was kind of a joke it was so small. I got a few bites into the tasty fried breast and suddenly it was cold in the middle. It didnât look raw, it was just cold. My server quickly took the whole plate (wish it could have just been the breast) and had it remade for me. I waited a while for that and then when it came out the mashed potatoes were cold, which I heard another table tell their server earlier too. My server got me a new, very hot side without gravy on it which was sad. The chicken the second time around was a little overdone. The legs are very, very small. The vegetable side was even smaller the second time around.
I waited a long time to get the check. The bussers seemed to only half know what they were doing, asking if tables needed anything but then not seeming to pass the info along to the server.
Still tipped 20%, seemed like things werenât my servers fault.
Things were going so poorly I never did order dessert which was what I came for initially.

30 minute wait in line, 20 minute wait to order, 20 minute wait for our food. There were tables around us who were being seated and got their food and finished eating before we even got out food. The service was extremely slow and it seemed like the water forgot about the big middle section of their area.
The apple pie and apple cider float were good. The fried chicken was just okay
