I don't usually review fast food joints, but I went to this location last night for a late night munch, and had an experience so positive it was unforgettable.It wasn't a long experience, we were in and out of there in maybe a minute or two, but the guy who helped us, Ricky, was so friendly and helpful and funny, he really made our night that much better.Just about anyone can make a few tacos, but to deliver an experience so positive and enjoyable in less than 120 seconds, that is a real skill. I will be loyal to this Del Taco from now on as a result.Thanks Ricky man, you're a legend bro.
Food is very small these days. When we order chilli cheese fries the container should be full since prices have gone up to compensate already for cost of living lol
Cooks were not wearing hairnets and one guy had a long beard that wasn’t covered. They asked me to pull up for because I ordered fries and they definitely were not fresh hot fries. Seems like they are always trying to have a fast drive thru time and always ask me to pull forward and park right after I pay.

Continue Review. Excuse me the date I previously said was wrong. It was Sat Dec 2 @ 5:30. Food was horrible along with the service. We went thru Drive-Thru that was Very slow and our food was cold and dried out! Not even edible. My little one's 3 & 5 years old wouldn't even eat the fries!!! It was disgusting & dirty!!! I will never go back to this Del Taco again!!!
My 91 year old mom had a taco craving at 9 pm, so we went!It's been here since I was a teenager and this was THE place to go at lunch ...mid 70's and the food is still consistent and hot.Bathroom is out the door and the driveway is very hard to navigate - Big Trucks beware.Parking: Unless it's crazy busy, there are enough spaces.

Although the cashier was wearing gloves, he was making food with the same gloves that he was handling cash with. Major food and safety violation. I called him out on it and asked my food to be remade. He didn't seem to understand what the problem

I was warned about the smell of the taco shell awhile back from my sister. She got a full refund for her order and told me to stay away. Couples weeks and month later I was craving Del Taco. It had a funky smell but I ate it anyways. That night, I was tossing and turning. Had the R*NS! Feeling week and fatigue. I can smell the shells and burping it up too. Maybe it's just my luck. Never ever going back!

I'm not sure how involved the owner of this location is but I would imagine they are completely hands off and have no clue how terrible the workers manage this place. I've come here a handful of times in the last 4 years and come to finally throw the towel in and only go to the other Yucaipa location in downtown. This location seems to keep the main sign light off at night (I think on purpose to avoid business). They begrudgingly respond to the drive thru speaker and that's IF they answer you at all. I just left 10 minutes ago after waiting in a line of 5 cars at 6:30pm on a Thursday. They were clearly open because we saw people leaving the store with bags, but they just wouldn't answer the drive thru speaker. The food quality itself isn't the normal Del taco standard and the fries are always darkly speckled black because they clearly hardly ever change out the frying oil. I've worked fast food and know it's not the best job in the world but these workers have ZERO self respect or pride in how they operate. If I was the owner I would clean house completely and start over training new staff if any decent profit is desired. Otherwise this place won't be operating much longer due to the sabotage of the workers.

If you’re local to Yucaipa you probably already have your favorite del taco to go to and unfortunately this one usually isn’t it. I have had a few great experiences here and a couple surprisingly rough ones too. The food is usually okay or really good. There have been a couple times that I’ve gone within an hour and a half to two hours of it closing and the workers said that they were cleaning the grill. Which meant 90% of their menu was not available. Every time I’ve gone during the day it’s been a GREAT experience! So in conclusion depending on what time it is I recommend going to this one.
